Hi guys,
need some help. I am not a good computer expert and need to know how to DELETE ALL THE WEBSITES visits I make on my pc when I surf on the net. I must cancel everything I visit including the links. My wife discovered my visit of Bangkok Tonight Website and I want to keep visiting it without any other hassle! Please give me the details on how to not let her discover my surfing in the net.

Options
- Divorce.
- Surf at work.
- Format your hard drive.
- Sell your PC, but a Mac.
- Uninstall the web browser.
- Get her her own computer.
- Go to Google, type in "how to delete all web sites I visited", read....

My wife can't read, but my son can, he 's a bit young for some of the stuff dad looks at.
So for me two solutions.
1. Tools /internet options / history / clear history - walla its gone, also clean out cookies and delete files - it means the next time to log in you have to activate everything again. All depends how computer illiterate she is.
2 buy a labtop with wireless lan and lock yourself in the bathroom.Put a lock on it then you never have to change anything, just log in.
Luckily mine is illiterate but she was logging in to bkk-tonight and looking at houses, she knows its something to do with sex but not sure what. The worst is if she finds out your handle and finds out what you've been up to. mine knows what I get up to, no reason to have it in black and white though. Luckily she cannot read otherwise I was f***ed a long time ago.;) Just lub the thai education system or lack thereof.

which internet browser d o you use?
IE, firefox, mozilla, opera...
as each is handled differently.
option if you are using XP is to setup a profile for you that the wife cannot access but then you will have the problem of what u do that u do not want me to see?
best bet set history/cache to 0

Thanks guys!
All clear. I have XP and will cancel the cache and all the cookies and files. I think is the best solution.
But I also seriously thinking to buy my own laptop with wireless connection and tell my wife it's from my company.

pussy,, much esier way,, have your 'own' log in,, i.e two account users, I did that to save similiar head-aches.
Just told Mrs I like my pages etc set up different ( favourites on the side etc etc.
Costs nothing and is password protected.

I like that option the best - 'Private Browsing' with Safari, and no one's the wiser.
On a PC, since there's a good chance that you have IE installed (one of the 3 main failures of PC users), I would suggest to just install FireFox, or Opera, and set them up to NOT be the default browser, and only launch them from a stealth directory. Easiest way, and protects you from your own stupidity.

You never bothered to correct that problem, or are you saying you prefer your wife to be under-educated? Blaming the Thai educational system is one thing (though, weird, all Thai I know can read and write), but you are in a position to change this for the better for her, seeing as how you are her husband...

There really is no choice than to see the humor and ironie. Have you even thought that she does not want.
If you knew anything about Thai society you would understand Thailand is the only country in south east asia that was never colonised.
That means even refusing an education is winning and being thai. clever stupid is what I call it, its easier to sit on the sofa watching tv, learning is too muk work.
She can read some thai, but left school at 14 to work and had many businesses including a bar, hairdressing salon. In thailand this gives enough merit noone dares to question if you can read and write, she has no interest to change that now believe me i've tried.
Negotiating with the devil himself must seem easier. If thats the choice of a full grown women then I have to respect it. fighting has no interest its something you can never win. The only thing is to make her understand our son;s education is important. how the thai think over education is horrible, a,b,c and thats about it. Oh he can talk ok finish, hopefully its changing the coming years. my son is 6 in the west she says he learns the same as my step daughter at uni in Bangkok.To be independant and to think for himself. Even she sees that, that is the reason thailand is so slow behind the west, which is good, she sees that, but thats only because she's not in thailand In thailand itself with the propoganda and so scared of outside influence even denying yourself eduaction is being Thai so you win, have you never come across this mentality before there.
She has a brain is clever enough, her family neglected her education and she does not want to be ridiculed at her age. so avoids it. Its sad but true, like many things in life, laughing at the irony is all thier is.
It was more the english I was on about on here not thai -she knows limited thai. She can read no English which is handy for me, she is sitting while I write this, it could be about anything she can't read it and dont want to either.
I have to explain everything outside of thailand to her, geography for instance she has no idea about.
It never occured to me that people in the world grew up like that, its too late now as far as she is concerned
It is not just about sending your teelak to school and bobs your aunty fanny 's your aunt, some things are deeper and bigger than that.

Thanks for explaining - wow, I never considered that someone might not actually *want* to learn, but you make some valid points, and I appreciate you taking the time to help me understand this - at least as long as your son is getting a good education, though it's a pity she feels it might expose her to ridicule (though I can understand why she'd feel that way, being Thai).
