Just bought a labtop here and started surfing porn on the internet.
After some time the pop-ups start to advice me to get this and that to remove my porn tracks.
Im told that I visited 20 or so illegal sites.
My question is: Should I worry about this ? Could you actually be tracked down? What could happen ?
Any experience ? Sorry im a computer novice and just started to get a little paranoid about it.
Tried to search but didnt really find anything about this.

Hehe,
This is called Spyware or Adware.
They are not interested in your "porno addiction", but can be a pain in the ass to have on the computer, so get protected. And: Do not answer "yes" to any of those popups.
There have been some examples lately of Trojan horses used to tap into peoples bank account.

OK, another note on this.
I got tired of this myself. In Windows, no matter what antivirus/antispyware/firewall I added to my computer (I bought the best on the market), some shit slipped through.
A clean Windows XP installation connected to the Internet gets infected in 30 minutes.
So I installed Ubuntu Linux and I do not look back (altough I have a dual boot option to XP). I've got everything I need. A clean install, no tweakin (at least not on the security level).
Three months later: I have not seen any signs of virus/spyware/adware.

If you're running Windoze XP, the first thing you ought to do is ditch Internet Explorer and use it only as an absolute last resort.
Install the Firefox browser and configure it to allow tabs, to block pop-up windows [which are especially bad coming from the porn sites], and look into the many functional Extensions they have by going to Tools > Add-ons > Extensions

Help!!! The Company fun Nazi's in Europe are catching up, most of the sites I used to visit via the company server are now unavailable, I can still access the forums on BKK 2nite but the Classifieds are already gone [love those adds!] it won't be long and I will loose access to the whole of BKK 2nite. is there any way of gettin past these dogooder bastards?

I had to do a review for a client on the current release of TOR and must say, I am more impressed every time I try this.
For those of you looking to get around the major of filters set up, if you go to download.com and get a current release of TOR and a current release of Privoxy you can get thru a majority.
I installed on 5 machines....all were simple and painless. This runs on a modified version of Mozilla and while slower than your normal browser, it provides a great deal of flexibility.
You can still run your regular IE or Mozilla when you want....no impact on speed or performance. When you need a little something extra, use the TOR and surf away.
I tried it on a few sites that never load with my regular browser but with TOR/Privoxy got to them with no problems.
