Just scoured the forums Tech section for members software application suggestions and found some good free apps given, although many nested within posts' titles...a lot of mobile phone post titles
... I would like to revive Docs post with its good title named "Essential Software" and restate its context to helpfull software apps we use with mobile, computer

Yes, they do work. And quite good too. Open up to 16 connections and you're pumping out all the speed out of your Internet connection.
I use IDM (which is not free). But Flashget (free) is probably the best. Try to get version 1.9.6 from their website. I witnessed problems with Version 2.
VLC is definitely not the best free media player. I experienced serious problems while running.mkv files. It just couldn't keep up.
I would say the best is Zoom Player. Try to get V5 Standard which is free. Starting V6 they started to charge.
I don't use media downloaders. I just pick movies etc of the net and play them with Zoom Player.

That software only works on people who are ashamed to lie, and their nervousness when lying is revealed in their speech. Obviously does not apply to BG's.
