I couldn't agree more. There are many venues, each offering something a bit different. Sazanka or any oil massage I can think of is obviously not the place for voyeurism, whereas SOL apparently can be to some extent (discussed at length in its thread). That's what I meant to suggest to g11259.
However, I don't want to jump to conclusions. g11259 hasn't actually told us why he was peeking over the partition in the first place. Maybe he wanted to borrow a Qtip. Or ask what month it was. In any event, you'd probably agree with me I think from your post, that were I in a massage, the last thing I'd want is some guy peeking up over the partition for any reason.

They guys I'm thinking of aren't quite so tolerant, and even less understanding.
99.999% of the time, Thailand seems like a safe place for farangs; the living is easy, and girls are available at a snap of the fingers.
But things do sometimes go wrong, and when they do the outcome can often be severe and permanent. Guys that haven’t seen a situation go bad, really don’t understand all the different directions from which consequences may come.
If one needs a Q-Tip or help with their digital watch, knocking on the curtain might be a better idea.

Stopped by Sazanka yesterday and got the full treatment. It had been a while. I go for expertise at places like this--and so I chose Ari because she was listed as working since Sept. 2003.
I had a lot of fun, and she really was good. She was one of the first Sazanka ladies I have had that actually stayed during the hot towel soak. I have found many Sazanka ladies will let you soak in them for about 5-10 minutes before doing any work. Ari massaged right through and I kind of liked that.
She was also funny. Sadly, she reported that she was leaving. Anyways, Sazanka remains one of the best massage "experiences" I have had. It is just a relazing and enjoyable experience.
I recently posted my review of Akane Massage and would stand by the contrasts I made in that post to this place. I have found the ladies at Sazanka can certainly play with your butt--however, the Akane ladies make that their area of expertise. Sazanka is a great total masssage experience with a happy ending.

Last night was my second session at Sazanka.
The first one was with a new girl, Nana, and it was excellent.
Last night I tried Mika. She is a fun girl though she doesn't speak much English. Part of the reason I selected her was that she's listed as being there since 2003.
Maybe the first session set my expectations too high, but it was a disappointment. My biggest complaint is that I indicated several times during the initial massage session that whatever she was doing was hurting me. She eased up, and she contitued with the massage, which seemed to take forever.
And forever it was, relatively speaking. A few minutes into the happy ending massage she tells me we're running out of time.
WTF? I don't go to Sazanka to get all of the bones in my body broken. It's fine as a prelude, but to run out of time at the end is unacceptable, and I let her know that.
I suppose next time I'll have to watch time myself and make sure things are happening on my schedule, but frankly, that sort of kills the whole point. I go there to be taken care of, and I would prefer not to have to watch time.
In any case, I'm crossing Mika out.

There is something you can do to get more pleasure and less pain
during any massage in Thailand.
I'm a frequent visitor to Sazanka - and I highly recommend the services there.
Sazanka caters primarily to Japanese customers.
Getting hurt during a massage is not why we go,
but for Japanese men, they expect pain during massage.
The more pain they get, the more they think they are getting their money's worth,
or perhaps, the more pain, the more "healing" they are getting.
So the massage girls who cater to Japanese always give a very strong massage.
When I go in for massage at Sazanka or anywhere else in Bangkok,
my first comment to the girl is Thai language for "soft & gentle".
This is "baow-baow".
Think of the words for a dog barking, "bow-wow", then say
"baow-baow".
Be sure to speak in a soft and gentle voice. Don't bark!
And always smile.
That will get your massage off to a good start, but won't guarantee
that the girl will remember your request.
Massage work is essentially boring so the girls often lapse into
something like a bored trance during the massage.
And they may forget your request and start giving a strong massage.
Strong (and painful for us) is their normal mode.
So you probably will have to repeat "baow-baow" several times.
Simply say, softly and gently, and always with a smile, "baow-baow".
Sazanka Massage is one of the pleasures of Bangkok.
Now you know how to make it even more to your liking.

The word in Japanese that means "It hurts" is "itai"! Just say that, the girl should know and will be more gentle. Naturally say it in a laughing way and the girl will give you more pleasure.
As for "times-up", go with the 2 hour 1380 Baht massage. Lots of time there.
One other issue. When looking at the girls, usually go with one that has a high percentage with the arrow going up. I find this a very good way. Some girls have 27% increase in bookings. Others have low bookings or something in the teens with the arrow going down. This is an indicator that the girl is not as good as she once was, or word of mouth has been avoiding them. If they are new girls "New Face" will be listed.
Naturally, if the girls you want aren't there, wait until they are available, or come back later. The papsan will not mind.
Once the table shower (akasuri) wasn't available and thye Papasan told me (in Japanese) to get the massage first. I told him, it's okay, I can wait. He didn't have a problem with it and I read all the Japanese magazines and manga there. I've had my hit and miss girls. I recommend getting a girl taller in height with a high percentage. Works wonders, usually!
