I respect my fellow brothers' wish to pay more for good service, but lament the fact that you are overpaying and by doing so pressure us cheap charlies (who are not necessarily cheap because we choose to be but because we are relatively poor) to pay more than we can afford.

Again, I am not overpaying in Angel or Baron. This is the price. If you do not want to pay that price, you do not go to those two places. Simple.
Now I would be overpaying if I gave 2300-2800 baht to a 30-something, not-flat-stomach, high-mileage girl from the Nana parking lot. Overpaying is when you do not pay the going rate for the given service, IMO.

We should always treat the ladies with respect and kindness. No matter how much (or little) money we pay them. Spread the word.
I do not, however, agree that the going rate for 1 hour FS should be 2300 baht. It ought to be much much less. At Angels or Barons, they have fixed the going rate at 2300 baht because rich farangs spend money like dirt in LOS. That's why these places get away with such ridiculous rates.
Allow me to elaborate:
In Denmark your average working, 20-year-old, awsome-looking, flat-stomached bigbreasted, blond, Scandinavian-type dreamgirl will charge you 83 USD for a ½ hour shag. Compare this with say a Danish personal secretary's ½ hourly rate at 20 USD. We do the math and the pleasure gir's rate is 415% higher than the secretary's. This is fine. The pleasure girl provides a more specialised service and should be rewarded accordingly (but not unreasonably).
Now in LOS: ColoradoGuy's dreamgirl from either Angels or Barons will charge him an hourly rate of 1150 baht. Your average white collar girl in LOS, say one of those nice things working in the banks, will probably make about 65 baht an hour. More math: The girl at Angels or Barons makes a staggering 1770% more than the bank girl! Which, by the way, makes whoring in Angels and Barons a far cry better business than doing it in the luxury brothels of Copenhagen.
Now where's the sense in that ?
Just because you fools are yee-pee-kay-yeah happy that your foreign currency exchanges into more value than you get at home does not mean you should spoil the market for the more economically sensible players such yours truly.
My conclusion:
STOP OVERPAYING, GUYS!

You gents have made some very good points. I am guilty of having thrown around baht at every pretty girl I saw. Somehow it seemed like play money to me. Once you consider the wages the "normal" workers are receiving, it appears I was over tipping, a lot. In my next trip, coming up soon, I will change my tipping ways and see what happens. Should make for an interesting experiment.
