Akane is not the typical little massage parlor. I have been to a few and years ago gave up on many of the smaller places as overpriced tourist traps with little to offer that is unique. I went to Akane with a friend of mine who just wanted to find a quick place to drop a load. So I went in with him thinking, "OK, here is a place that is clearly designed to take money away from Japanese tourists and deliver very little in return." I didn't want to go into this place, but I did because that's what running with you buddies is all about. I was even less enthused when I was informed that there was no INTERTCOURSE allowed. I thought, "What the f***?! I'll bet this is the only place in BKK where there is a sexual theme and no sex." I was wildly surprised. They had a menu and I figured, let's go for broke, if there is no intercourse we may as well go for whatever the max is that they offer. So there was a 2 girl theme. I picked two very attractive young ladies. Wow! was I surprised. Someone must be teaching these girls classes in oral sex and working in tandem. They know what they are doing. Again, there was no intercourse. But the 90 minute tongue lashing was only over shadowed by the incredible rim and blowjob that followed. And the no intercourse rule goes out the window if you choose to call one of the girls for an outcall to your motel room. Trust me guys, it is well worth the trip, and the ladies are young and very pretty.

The rooms in the actual massage parlor are indeed very small. I have been there twice. When they need more room, there is a "Peep Inn" next door where they use these extremely HUGE rooms. So depending on which day you go there, you may have a tiny room or one big enough for a 20 person orgy. It could go either way.

My two experiences at Akane were disapointments too.
The session at chitlom was a 1 girl session, IMHO a pale copy of what you get at Sazanka but still OK.
The session at Soi 33 was a 2 girls session, it was a damned NIGHTMARE, time was cut, girls not willing to please or even to do a decent massage, here is a copy of my report:
Walk in the place at 12h50 and get greeted by the mamasan, choose the V3 course (90mn, 2 ladies, 2480 bahts)
I choose two girls, one is real nice looking, tall with nice natural firm boobs, second one is plump but young and look to be fun. We go to the room, the decoration is rather nice but old. I receive a seated shower by the girls and notice they barely know what they are doing, so I play dumb and say I dont understand Thai just to see where all this would go. Well, it was not really a disaster but a clear example of a totally unproffesiuonal place. Back to the room the two girls dont know what to do and start a lame massage, one is allway gone (change clothe, go get oil, any excuse is ok) on the rare moment they are both there they are more busy chatting together than massaging me.... The Lotion massage is also lame, then when the time for the extra come the girls clearly dont know how to put a condom on, so after breaking two with their nails one tell to the other "dont worry, I dont want to suck him anyway" in Thai. They proceed to a lame hurtfull HJ, take them a long time to make me come and when they finnaly manage to do it they instantly stop and instead of cleaning the mess (sperm+lots of lotion+saliva...) they place a damp towel on top of it and proceed to massage me again!
One is explaining to the other that the Farang-set are very Kiniao and not to worry about me being happy or not
Then they stop everything and just sit there talking to each other for 5mn as if I was no longer there, then they tell me its time to shower ( I look at the clock, havent been even 45mn with them yet!)
One do a quick shower to me while the other one is outside discussing about her hollidays in Phuket with another girl, then we go downstair and its time to pay...
I tell the mamasan that I havent stayed the full time, but she first pretend not to undertand and then tell me "you come allready, so time finished!Time to pay money now!" ( it is 2h03, exact total time in the place 1h13, massage alone was supposed to be 1h30)
NEVER AGAIN !!!

Yopi : If you go to Sazanka expecting a normal oily session then of course you will be disapointed. Sazanka is more like a legit massage/scrubbing with a happy ending hand job at the end. Each time I went there it was a very relaxing experience, but again more like a long proffesional massage/scrubbing with only a HJ before the end, nothing else.

No, I would wager the club was designed to attract Japanese men. When I went there most of the other customers were Japanese. Typically the Japanese have clubs in BKK that are exclusively for them, many will not allow a westerner through the door. I think Akane wants everyone to come in, but they seem to especially want the Japanese man.
Several people here seem to have had really bad experiences at Akane. I did not. I have been to a lot of clubs in BKK and felt the sessions could have been better. I went to Akane because a buddy practically dragged me in. I expected it to be a complete rip off. I had a really good experience. I read Madfrog's review and it sounds like we went to two different places. Don't get me wrong. There are still much better places in BKK to go. But in my opinion there are also a lot worst places too. I need to ad that I never went to the Chitlom location. I have only bee to the Soi 33 location.
