When Snow White first opened, I had a mediocre experience.
Later I came back and had a great experience with girl X. It then became a regular favorite.
I visited just before new years 2012 and had another great 2 hour session with X again. At the end of it she was grumbling a bit about too much work, but seemed fine with the 2k I gave her. When we got down to the desk they told me I was 30 minutes over. Checking my phone, my own recollection of my entry time seemed to confirm something similar (I thought 15 minutes), so I accepted the extra 200 baht fee.
Fast-forward to last night, and I see X again for another 2 hour session. X is now grumbling before we start, but still provides good service and is playful about it. I let her off easy this time with 2 shots and give her the standard 1500. I enjoyed myself and was satisfied with her work effort.
But. I checked my phone just after being sat down in the room: 18:31. After shot #2, X told me my 2 hours was up and I checked my phone again: 20:00. I tell her this, and she replies that Snow White time is different. I reaffirm the details of 18:31 and 20:00, showing her the phone. I have her massage me for a bit then shower and come downstairs.
Coming downstairs, and the first words out of the cashier's mouth are "you went over one hour, extra 200 baht." Time on my phone is 20:18.
"No." I reply, and repeat (in thai) the timings. X backs me up on this, in the sense that she repeats that I say that my phone said 18:30 when I sat down. I show them 20:18 on my phone. The cashier shows me that the log book has 17:34 written in it by the maid, who checked me in. They let it go and I pay the normal 800 for 2 hours. X apologizes to me as I leave.
Writing this, I now recall one further meeting with X where she declared the 2 hours was up, and checking my phone on the way out I figured it had only been 1.5 hours. (no extra fee was levied at the time).
Perhaps I'll note the time on my phone and show it to the cashier at the beginning on my next visit.

TJ : I had the opposite happening to me, staying 1.5h and being charged 1 hour...seem like they are not very good at keeping note of when customers go upstair (it is FOUR numbers to write one after the other, in the right order, YAK MAK MAK!)

I prefer to see & pick my girls in person, but prefer my hotel to most rooms in parlors?

I think the important thing to remember is that these women are human beings and that even though they do provide services for a living it would not be reasonable to expect them to be on an even-keel temperament everyday 24/7.
While the punter is in his home country; salivating at another experience with this or that lady; she is servicing between One-to-Seven customers everyday. So it becomes a bit difficult for her to be Miss Congeniality with everyone who walks through the door. Please imagine trying to be nice all the time when in fact you are experiencing a down day.
I think the best approach is to realize their limitations and not criticize them harshly when they are having a bad day.
If you have had good results in the past then please try again, if on the other hand the results are always poor then perhaps move on to another provider.
As for the Time situation:
I have always found this to be problematic in one form or another.
My watch has a 'Stop Watch' function and I always let them them know it is working and turned on when I arrive.
Invariably after a particularly hard workout, the service provider says; "Time Finish"
Okay but it is up to me to repeat or not.
I never leave more than the agreed upon price.
I have lived here for ten years.
