Just researching for my first trip to thailand.
Is the cost for full service negotiable.
Everywhere I have read for all the oileys seems to suggest this 1500 THB but since this figure is paid directly to the girl I thought that there would be more negotiation involved like you would in go go or with a freelancer

The price, 1,500 baht, quoted by a lady in an oil massage place is a standard fee that is generally understood to be non-negotiable..........and should be.
But of course you will get the odd mean bastard who is prepared with a whine to beg and plead with the lady to lower the price for him since he is out of pocket at the time or pretends to be.
And then you will get the insecure guys who post an entry letting everyone know that they have proved how big and irresistible they are or down-right cheap because they have managed to beat the price down a bit.
I don't know what you understand to be full service, but they generally take it to be one shot of straight sex.
Anything else is usually extra except for those guys who have a generous imagination or who fantasize a lot.
If the standard fee is quoted and accepted, the lady respects the guy for not attempting to haggle. If you do try to beat down her price, she has every right to look upon you as a turd.
Having said that, have a great time when you eventually arrive here.

I can see where you are coming from. Let me say this:
When you go to an Oily, any amount for any types of extra services by the girl in the privacy of your room (or curtained area) is negotiable. I also take the approach of always asking what the lady's prices are before engaging in any special activities so that minimizes any misunderstandings.
I usually get quoted 500 HJ, 1,000 BJ and 1,500 for sex. Some places are less.
Having said that, my goal, isn't actually to try and lower the girl's fee but rather give her more than what she has asked for IF she has given me GREAT service.
The ladies usually appreciate it and are very Thankful.
You have Everything to gain by being generous, especially in places or with providers you would like to see again. Who knows? maybe the next time she will give you 2 or 3 shots instead of one?
A lady will go beyond the call of duty for you if she knows she will be rewarded, she will also be willing to try things that she would not do for other customers... so my view is that it is up to you to negotiate (up or down) but be aware that the lady's service or enthusiasm will also vary (up or down)

Forgive me for my impatience, but any Farang who needs to save 500baht on a session with a lady probably should be paying more attention to why they are broke.
The solution is simple. If you visit a lady repeatedly you ae going to get great service even if there is no "connection".
The ladies are greatful for repeat business like any other businessperson.
You want sex ? 1500 baht
You want 3 shots ? See her several times and do your research on which are the shops with good reputations.

Would I be right in thinking that in following places 2-3 pops is standard Mango, Tulip, Snow White and Victoria........or are these still inline with what you were saying above.
On my first ever trip would you suggest upon enteiring an oilly to act dumb (see if they try to rip me off) or try to act like I know what I am doing.

Just be yourself.
Be honest and they'll smell that.
They'll also know if you are acting.
That is their world.
and...........It is pot-luck.
Say what you would like.
Be up-front.
A lady may respond very positively to you.
Always be polite.
They appreciate manners.
They know that if you are not pleased you will either not return or you wont choose that lady again.
If you are very unlucky, you may come across a lady who might take exception to your candour and she may be tempted to make you come more than you would wish, just to get the pleasure of seeing you afterwards with wobbly legs, stumbling to the taxi.

Made my first visit ever to Mango after stopping in almost every other place in the area. (Almost made a choice on soi 24/1 but glad I didn't)
