Not sure if there is a thread or a mention of this place on BTF but my search yielded nil results therefore this new thread.
I discovered this gem of a place quite by chance today walking down Soi 13. Now Soi 13 is a lane, I guess, not many would venture into as it is fairly deserted and lifeless. As I passed by this sign caught my attention but I wasn't interested in venturing across the little expanse that sets it away from the road. But there were girls sitting outside and they called out to me. I smiled and would have moved on but one of them ventured out and caught my hand and invited me to "come see inside" before I moved on.
I was impressed by what I saw and decided to try out a 1 hour oil massage which they were offering at B400. The place looks spanking new and clean and is impressively large. The private room for the oil massage was spacious. Each room has a small shower cabinet attached to the outside. The shower is good with ample piping hot water and good supply of soap. Small details that make a big difference when you take an oil massage. The massage was good and the lady made good conversation.
Half hour into the massage I was beginning to congratulate myself on my serendipity. The lady enquired caringly if I was feeling too cold and that's when I noticed that the aircon was so below the consciousness I hardly noticed it as the temperature was so perfect, unlike other places where you are left shivering.
I spoke to the lovely middle aged manager on my way out. I was not surprised to learn that it has few clients save the regular ones. Most probably don't know about this place. Which is a shame because after my first visit I was left worrying it should not wither away for lack of adequate business.
They have a promo on now. TTM at B200, Thai+Oil for 2 hours at B600, 4 Hands Oil at B1300.

Sorry, Sukhumvit Soi 13. Trendy Plaza, I think it is called. Newish building adjacent to Miami lodge (or hotel). Maybe 150 metres as you walk in from Suk. Girls are cheerful, rating on looks may be subjective. I showered, she didn't join. Anyway, at the time I went in I was really tired out and not looking for any extras. But, as I said, the hints at massage time were fairly indicative. A sign behind the reception says all masseuses are trained at Wat Po.

visited Lan Po a couple of weeks ago early afternoon, very quiet, was the only customer present
this spa opened about 18 months ago according to the well spoken reception staff
large ground floor premises in Trendy Plaza (far end of the building if entering from Suk, there's another spa in same building called Silk but have yet to try), nicely appointed rooms, extra wide and long massage beds, each room has a shower but only accessible by leaving the room. Walls up to ceiling and solid wooden doors. Typical spa music. Room lighting during massage from a candle only.
spa menu includes facial treatments etc, not just a massage establishment
opted for a combo thai + aroma massage, two hours for 600 on special offer
I never choose the girl in a new place I visit, just go with the flow
did not see any good lookers here, average age about 35 to 40
my girl was 43 with two adult children, very poor English, usual Isaan background
massage was exceptional, very professional, worth a visit just for the massage
no discussion of extras, actually none needed, as it just "happened"
tipped 1,000 after having a very slow and enjoyable HJ along with exploration of her semi nude body
no indication that anything further was possible, which I expect is in-house policy
spa menu has offers for four-hands and six-hands massage as well as in-hotel services
will definitely go back, but may choose a different girl

Barely twelve hours after the tongue lashing and gobbling up that I received at Star of Light I headed to Lan Po on Suk Soi 13 for a relaxing oil massage. This was a long overdue visit, after I first stumbled on this place a few years ago, but the repeat visit never materialized just as many planned things don’t when you’re visiting LOS. Around 12 noon there were just a couple of ladies at Lan Po and they didn’t seem too keen on entertaining clients. Nevertheless, having stepped in (not having the door opened for you should be a good indicator that you’re not welcome), I made a hesitant enquiry and was preparing to step out again when the lady asked me to pay the charges in advance. Ok, there’s 400 baht as asked. Why should I do this? Because my one experience here in the past was very good and I believe in backing trusted MPs another time even if the signs don’t look too good. Give the devil his due. Actually the masseuse asked me to go the small shop opposite since they had younger ladies (“more beautiful,” as she put it). But I pretended not to hear her as I was keen on just a relaxing massage.
The massage was slow and relaxing and I was smiling contentedly in the dim light. What could be more relaxing when you are lying face down on the massage table and feel those fingers crawling down your legs and creeping back slowly up, up and endlessly up your thighs till they faintly graze “you” at the apex ? Towards the end, the masseuse who just an hour back was keen on deputing me to another shop, popped the “special” question. I was surprised but hesitated not. I nodded. She agreed to a 500 baht tip. The last time I visited here there was no special. At the back of my mind I was actually mocking myself for falling into the temptation. What juice could be left in a man 12 hours after a visit to SOL ?
We live and we learn. The HJ was slow and came with great expertise. For about 5-10 minutes she stroked me patiently and soon I was amazed at the erection that she had produced. The stroking accelerated and even as I mentally dismissed any chance of cumming, I realized it was slowly rising from within. She stepped on the gas now (they seem to know when it’s coming) and minutes later I felt a convulsion and rapid twitches as she finished me off. One of the best hand jobs I can remember.

Lan Po Relax Massage - first posting in Dec 2009, by Kaymanx.
Location described as " on a lane fairly deserted and lifeless ". Also no stunners, no pestering for ' extras " but due to freindliness, willingness to please, and very good massage with expert HJ gave satisfaction enough for repeat visit after more than 2 years.
Really happy to know that such a place survived for two years and still gave satisfaction.
I will really visit. It is exactly what I am always looking for i.e a really good massage with a really expert HJ and friendly treatment.

Good one Kaymanx, always like to find these better appointed gems. There's definitely a place for the good massage/spa with secret extras...life doesn't always have to be so overt!
Will give it a try...are they ready for the business though?
