Can anyone reccomend a good place where I could store (2-3 Months) a couple duffle bags of gear while I am going in and out of BKK.

Something simple, secure, and easy. Thanks for any reccomendations.

Somewhere to store a couple of duffle bags of gear? My place -- but I can't guarantee I won't have smoked it all by the time you get back...

Mark, You are funny. No serious...not looking for anything free. I am planning to live in BKK for about four months, but want to go do some traveling around the globe first.

I would figure they would have something at the airport, but since 911 places have closed those kinda storage places. I will look into it tho. Any other places anyone can think of would be highly appreciated. Thanks

There is supposably a left luggage place a the Airport. $2 a day for each piece of luggage. You can keep stuff there for 6 months max. This solves my issue.

Many places will let you store a few bags (even big ones) for free or a very nominal fee if you have stayed there to get you to come back. Omni, Center Point/Soi 10, Saranjai Mansion/Soi 6 (maybe).
It is a lock if you book a reservation for when you expect to return.

FYI, I know of one Hotel the Crown on Soi 6, where they also let you store personal luggage for a limited period.

ps. Baquawn, you mention 2$ per day is that US? Or as NZ & Aus are closer than the US is it one of those?

If you're going to live in BKK for 4 months, it's more cost-effective for you to probably rent an apartment (cheaper by the month, than by the day), in which case you can just leave your things in your apt. Considering you can get apts from between 5,000 Bht and 10,000 Bht, that might be your best option... IMO.

Depends on your idea of decent. I went up to a one of my TG's apartments.

It was right across from the BB on Soi 21 down a small alley. She said the room was 5000/month but they had larger ones that went as high as 7500/month.

Thai girls were alowed to rent them or tourists but not local Thai men she said.

The room was small, had a washroom, fridge (no other cooking stuff) and a small balcony. Considering the price I thought it was a very good deal but not much of a room really.
