I was wondering what is the cheapest anyone has seen an apartment with a fully functioning kitchen. stove top and oven preferred. I may be moving back to thailand next year and I have decided I cannot live like a "normal" person without cooking facilities.

Finding an apartment with an oven is a bit harder, but not impossible. But if you find one with everything you want but an oven, consider getting a counter top toaster-oven for about $50 USD. It works well for small quantities of food that that would be typical for 1 or 2 people.

OVENs... yeah I know what you mean. But most of the ovens here in thailand are smaller than ones out West. Think small chicken or 2-3 cornish hens max. But there are places... most times the oven is part of the whole unit. not just a table-top like the stove's in most apts are. Try Thonglo Towers... in ThongLo SOI 18... saw a few units (albeit somewhat old in decor as is the building) but have ovens available. Also checked out my friends pad near Surasak station.. in front of the BTS station across from BangkoK Christian College.. cant remember the name... 70sq m. 1 br with working oven (would fit a small chicken) and stove (3 burners) all gas... 15K a month... I think the 2brs were 20k... the building is a yellow color, located right behind that cool Shanghai Restaurant

thanks nyc my friend in bkk has a 2bdrb with a kitchen but he is dropping 40k+ a month. That's not in my budget. 15-20k won't get covered by a teacher salary but I have outside income. Ovens is exactly what I am talking about. I am a professiional cook and I can't be cooking in no toaster.
