Soi Jalernsuk, Rama IV, Klong Toey (tell the driver: Sukmuun) close to the end of Soi Sukhumvit 22 [where the Soi goes to the left]. Just before the Soi goes left you see motorcycles, then turn right and at the end to the left then to the right at the corner there is 7-11 and there is this area. Sorry I can't explain it better
There are lots of flat blocks, rooms above shops, a nice area lots of girls and lots of good cheap food.
And on walking distance from Klongtoey market near Rama IV road.

Around Ekkamai there are rooms for 2500Bt per month or 3500Bt incl. with aircon. If you look around I think you can get a reasonable room for 5000 per month near to the skytrain. These rooms are very reasonable..a bit like your typical UK university room but a bit bigger.
I am looking at renting one of these places for a year to store my stuff because it is a lot cheaper than putting it into storage in the UK.

Daffy....I am planning to stay at Jasmin City, good location and an awesome Gym there on the front of Suk.
My deal is I plan to stay at BKK for a week in july, then need to jump around globe for two months prior to living in BKK. I want to lighten my load some.

Why do you say Landmark is a ripoff ??
I think you can join for 2000B/month.
Seems reasonable to me and the gym was pretty good with lots of modern equipment. It did not seem to have
a few machines I like, but perfection is hard to find.
(Well, there was the bod on this one girl, but that is a different story......)

Check out California Fitness in the Jasmine City Shopping complex (Corner Suk Soi 23, Gym facing Suk). Three floors, like a huge disco, at least 400 pieces of workout equipment, and lots of little hotties around.
It is about the best gym I have seen in my life. I was just looking, but I believe they were trying to sell me a membership for 1400B/month. It is well worth it. The place has everything.

Today's papers carried an ad for a just opened and properly equiped storage facility in BKK. Only provided a phone number in the ad, however.
Called them up and it sounds promising- sec. cameras, 24hr access- made an appt. to visit tomorrow. Place is near the CarreFour [sp?] on Rama IV annd Sukh. 26 I think [if that is [possible]. I will report back here once I've done the recon. Stay tuned.....
