One thing to consider is the pecking order in traffic.
1. Fully loaded dump trucks/concrete trucks
2. Buses, large
3. Buses, small
4. Vans/4WD vehicles
5. Automobiles
6. Motorcycles
7. Bicycles
8. Pedestrians
You can run over a pedestrian with a bicycle but just barely. You are fair game for everything else.
I do see some bicycle riders in Pattaya and on the country roads. As a matter of fact, there appear to be some bicycle teams training in Pattaya quite often. I do not know who they are but know where you can find out if you are ever interested.
