hmmm... you starting to sound diplomatic. We are now playing with semantics. Your statement could be read also as implying what I say you did -further clarification takes care of the issue. Anyway, we have no clue what the other had in mind when saying what he said. Though what each said could be read both ways. That is why people always come later and say "What I meant was...."
Truth I think is we mixed two issues in one single discussion and then our replies (or egos - yes admit it) took things in other contexts.
My worry now is Yurune... who since gone seems to be degenerating into an "always" nice guy -look at his post above. He is most of the time... but....

having gotten all the ducks in a row to go to Laos for a non-Immigrant B visa, I find I am missing one document
a letter from the Ministry of Labor
Ministry of Labor won't issue me this letter because of my company's registration isn't to their liking
lawyers insist that I do not need the letter on the first application, but do require it for extensions later on
and the Ministry of Labor will also issue me a letter easily once I have a work permit, which I can get once I obtain a non-Immigrant B visa
it's almost like the Chicken and Egg scenario, which came first ?, but I can't get either
any one recently gone to Laos to get a Non-Immigrant B, and did they require the letter EVERY time ?
I tried calling the Thai Consulate in Vientiane, but to no avail, most of the numbers I got do not work at all, and the one that does ring no one answers
Pnom Phen is less of a hassle according the list of documents required, 6 less items that the list in Vientiane
but it's much farther to travel and more expensive to get to than Laos for me

went to S'pore for my last in November, and it is mucho expensivo there
Laos is the closest for me, but I don't want to go there w/o knowing the truth
is the letter from Ministry of Labor required upon an initial visa, or only for extensions ?
