I used to go to Chelsea in the 1970's just to watch the football. In 1973 I saw Man Utd beat Chelsea 1-3. Everywhere George Best went he was crudely hacked down, I'm not surprised he gave up ! Bobby Charlton picked the ball up from midway in his own half. Then ran towards the Chelsea defence who backed off. The next minute the ball was punching the back of the net in the Chelsea goal. What a goal I shouted. I was surrounded by stunned silence in the 'Shed'. No applause (unlike at Anfield). Just a lot of stuffed dummies. Good football is good football, the Chelsea fans are too partisan. At least at Arsenal and Leeds they appreciate the skills of a master!
When I went to Chelsea they always seemed to think more of the punch-up !

If you have not seen the video try and get a copy of the European Cup Final of 1962. Real Madrid 7 Eintract Frankfurt 2 (may have been 3).
Now THAT is football. I've had a soft spot for Real ever since.

Hey Herm, I agree on the RM especially now with the Becks. But sadly cannot get Spainish football in my area of the world this year. Have not even seen one game yet.
Chelsea? So you think if I opened a Chelsea fan shop in BKK, I would get fire bombed in a week?
