Hey DoC
That run is a comfortable way to get the visa done. It is a nice bus with tv/dvd movies snacks and drinks.Great value for the money.
Only problem is NoT going to the casino, Yes we save a very good sum of money verses the other options 2000-2500 for most of them but some people just cant avoid going to the casino 
Unfortunitly I like casinos and what I saved on the visa run costs I spent in the casino...
If your not into casinos it really is a good choice of visa runs.

I will steer away from the casinos (expect for the free lunch).
I will line up for the first departure. If I don't succeed to get a seat, I still have plenty of time to make it to the train station.

Well here a little report on my experience:
Last Saturday arrived at 3.45 am at Lumpini (opposite HSBC).
Two buses were parked, in one of them no life at all.
The other bus had a staff member and I asked her if it was really 100 baht a person. She confirmed and asked me to take a seat upstairs.
The bus left 4.15 am (15 minutes late) and arrived at Poi Pet 7.15 am. Fastest time ever...
You get free water and a lunch coupon (however, I didn't find out where to get the coupon as I was not bothered about it).
My whole visa procedure (and wine shopping) took until 8.26 am.
Now, the bus back leaves at noon. As I was not really enticed to wait 3.5 hours, I took the regular bus from Aranyaprathet.
Back in Bangkok 1.30 pm.

'DR LOVES PRIVATE VISA RUNS TO CAMBODIA'.
Why dont you team up with your mate. He has a friend who has buses, trucks, tractors and push bikes at their disposal and are in the country area of LOS, somewhere near Surin. These people are wealthy so you may be able to do a long term hire on a mini bus with the help of your mate.
With this bus, you could do your own Dr Love visa runs.
The Dr Love bus departs Asoke (with Dr at the throttle) at 10am. As the bus heads towards Cambodia, the Dr can give a commentary of his local knowledge and promote his night time tours.
There you are Doctor, another way to make money.

Dr,, being a supporter of not only your business but BTF, may I suggest you make some sort of deal with BK regarding a Dr Love tour "thrown in" for paid membership in BTF, this would be very attactive especially to newbies ( the finances regarding this I leave to you are BK )
Just a sugestion that may proove be symbiotic.

Good info there Dr. Love.  I keep hearing about the gambling buses but no-one ever seems to provide any details. Only thing, like you said if you don't gamble then 3 hours is a long time to spend at the casinos, an hour would be plenty for me so l can see why you caught the government bus back.
How full was the casino bus when it departed and does it make any stops enroute?
