I've heard of one case where the guy needed to show a plane ticket out of LOS

Well starting about here and for the next 4 pages on this link below, there are a few more cases. When I did a border run a month ago, I saw plenty more, and was told by the policemen... Well, here's the link for your perusal.

I suppose that if you use one of these Tour Services they can supply the onward ticket or whatever as part of the service.

I was wondering if anyone could be more specific about two locations in relation to visa run departing mini-buses from Bangkok to Cambodia :
1. Where exactly on Sukhumvit Soi 12 dooes Jack Golf depart from ?
2. Where exactly on Asoke, ( oppose Soi Cowboy ? ) does Fine day mini-buses depart from ?
3. Does anyone have the contact numbers for these two companies ?

Jack Golf lady told me that in a month or so they will have to start respecting the airline-out policy as well for their 30 day runs to Ban Laem (as well as Poipet). I guess they could only negotiate so far. So I don't know yet how they'll handle that. As I say, I suppose they could just issue it themselves. Anyone wanting to use their Jack Golf service should probably call them first and ask about it.
Anyhow, big comfy tour bus with DVD movies, water and I think coffee supplied. Lunch was OK at the casino buffet, given free. Friendly staff.

So, let's see... My folks are arriving about June 20th and had planned to stay until end of August, almost 2 1/2 months. In between they'd wanted to fly to Singapore and perhaps one other place.
I guess the thing to do would be book the flights to other destinations (within the 30 day limit) before one arrives in BKK. Not much spontaneity, but don't see another route.

Hey seajohn
The thing to do, IMHO, is to get a tourist visa in their country. It is good for 60 days and can be extended for another 30.
From what I have heard, even people who have been staying here for quite a while on either tourist visas or arrival stamps, were not asked for an onward or return ticket when they left their point of departure/arrived in Thailand *as long as they had a valid and unused tourist visa in their passport*.
