I viewed Emporium Suites about 18 months ago and IMHO it is one of the best looking luxury appartment developments in town. As pinga mentioned they are expensive with starting prices around Baht 80K per month. Unless you're on a corporate package or are looking for a tax write off, then there are better value options around.

I have lived in Emporium Suites for a year and a half and I cant recommend it highly enough.
It is expensive but then, IMHO, it is the best. Anyone have any questions please feel free to ask.

I have stayed there too. They have cheaper rates, starting at THB 3700 per night and THB 70000 per month. Good place, good placation. I had an apartment at the 40+th floor with a balcony, a breathtaking view towards downtown. When you can get a cheap rate, definitely recommended.

Nice place. Stayed there a couple of years ago when they first opened. Rates are negotiable (LT rates that is). You can take a grand tour by telling the manager that your company is relocating you to BKK.
Some think it is expensive but it really isn't given the space, furnishing, location,views and amenities offered. Try getting the same space at the 4 seasons, JW, Conrad and see what it will cost you.
When I stayed there only the 2br units had washer dyers in them. I hope that has changed because it is really a convenience for light travelers and should be in all of the units.

The washers can be installed in any room (in the kitchen) but I am not sure about the rate. Probably it is free.
They have now slightly renovated the rooms with a bigger TV and a DVD player. Really not bad.

I havent seen washer/dryers but they will return laundry the same day if delivered by 12.00 midday. And can be even faster with a 100% surcharge.
Also
ADSL in every room
Very reasonable telephone rates
Great pool and gym
I have a corporate rate at Emporium of Bt3740 (inc. taxes) daily and Bt3520 weekly. Can email me if you want to use it.
It is very busy. Twice this year it has been fully booked when I have tried to get prople rooms at short notice. Very girl friendly - concierge will even go out and buy condoms for you!!

I think the Emporium Suites is overrated. I checked it out late last year when scoping a new regular pad and thought that the furniture and decor was starting to look a bit tired. Also not much in the way of amenities, limited kitchen facilities and a fair schelp from what I would consider to be the "right end" of the suk.
Finally plumped for Marriott Mayfair and service and interiors etc. cannot be faulted. At monthly rates you can get something bigger, nicer with great service and less apartments in total (giving it a more intimate feel). I have now started to really love Lang Suan as an area, it is 4 mins to the BTS, great restaurants on the doorstep and close to everything really. If only Soi Lang Suan itself wasn't a one way it would be perfect.
I would choose here (in a 2 bed apartment with decent kitchen, baths etc.) over the Emporium any day.

When I moved to BKK, I first stayed there for a few months. As said by others, it is very good. I had the best of times there. I had the best after-hours parties while staying in that place, with many many top girls coming after everything else closed (and a few boys too). We always carried on until at least 8am.
Those were the days......

Bad experience with the Emporium Suites. Saturday night booking room at Emporium Suites, but when I want to park at in front area in the night after visiting Orbit they moving me to other area, but then moving again to parking place, and they used rude words in Thai. Well of course they think I am Thai because my face and Thai aksen more like them. What an arrogant place, even they don't believe I live in there only because I bring 4 doors offroad pick up? Such arrogant. And room preparation also not good, when I was come the front officer told to the room boy to clean the room, before I already told will come arround eight o' clock in the night. What a stupid place, the worst they don't teach me how to use the super secure lift. Lucky some farang teach me how to used that horrible thing.
