I don't like your policy of one drink and choose, I accept it is your club and you make the rules but I prefer to relax over a couple of beers. Your club has it's good points, many guys tell me they love it, others tell me they don't get on with the sometimes obnoxious owner.

That's EC's angle, the policy, the concept.

just a brief comment, after reading nearly all the posts over the time eden started it's a little surprising to me no one or (group) has attempted opening a similiar operation incorporating the changes or (improvements) that have been dicussed with the big money being thrown around in gogo's seems like somebody or group would try to create another eden tpye club with the changes many have suggested

Lots of guys suggesting this but none willing to put any money where it counts. Much easier to snipe away behind a keyboard.
My guess? Its not as easy as it looks, especially when it comes time to put money on the table.

IMO:
You will need more then pocket change go go money to even think about starting a venture like this. Besides the venue/location, females, and liquor and license costs, you still have to find a political (government or police) "friend" to ensure your business stays open. This is also under the assumption you can find someone willing to sell you a license, because I did not think that type of license was still being issued.
As for the people griping about how they can not order a beer or drink and sit and talk. What in world?? You go to a specialty club for drinks?? What's next, going to a g-club and asking why they don't have any tubes like the mp's do??
Like Edenpappa said, you can go somewhere else and "load" up on liquid courage and then visit his establishment.
As for the obnoxious owner comment, I guess those people who "claim" that are probably the same ones that you hear about that visit Eden and make trouble. This would be one of the only reasons I can think of that would make EdenPappa obnoxious or irritated.

What do you need to decide?? You are not marrying the female. Go in. Check the females out. Pick one and let her pick her friend. Take your drinks up with you and waste your time conversing in the room if you want. If something is wrong, then go and talk to EdenPappa. He'll resolve whatever issues there are.
