Better get it fast. There is a shortage of hotel rooms in Singapore these days and it is just going to get worse with F1 around the corner.
It has even spread to the serviced apartment sector. A friend of mine who moved his operation from his Sydney office to his Singapore office for 3 months ended up taking a 6 month lease on an apartment in Normonton (West Coast) because he could not find any vacancies elsewhere.
There are several new high-end hotels and of course the Sands Resort opening in the next 18 months that should ease the pressure some...

Anywhere in Geylang you can find rooms for about $50 a night, 100's of lovely ladies walking around the streets, can highly reccomend the Indonesian with black hair who has a bolt through her tongue

The Vietnamese Girls are probably the most numerous now in Ipanema & Top 5, mostly surplanted the Philippians's who hangout at other Bars. Some very cute Vietnamese babes!

Can anyone recommend a 4 star hotel for 2 weeks in Singapore and advise me on price ? Hotels with a big lobby/bar are ideal. I want to get out of Pattaya for Songkran, just sit & watch the world go by and thank God that I'm not being soaked.

Its expensive, very expensive currently for Singapore Hotels, but if you want a interesting one try the Quincy (was Singapore's only full board Hotel), just off Orchard Road or an old favorite the Orchard, next to Orchard Towers. There are a lot of Boutique 20-30 room Hotels in China Town that are reasonable but you are going to pay 4/5K Baht a night!

A lot of hotels at many different prices along Orchard Road. Most of the big chains have large lobbies and bars but unlike Thailand you will not be picking up ladies there.
A good suggestion would be the Merchant Court (Swisshotel) at Clarke Quay. It is right on the Singapore River and in the midst of the Clarke Quay nightlife area. Just up the street from there is one of Singapore's newest hotels ParkRoyal on Pickering, it just opened in January and is near Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, and Chinatown.
If money is no object and you want to try a little casino action I would suggest the Marina Bay Sands. This one also has the advantage of a water taxi to the Singapore River area.
If money is tight I would suggest the hotels near Robinson Quay (Holiday Inn, etc). They are near the Mohammad Sultan area where several top-drawer discos and clubs are located.
Last of all do not go to the hotels in the Suntec area.... they are all very good hotels but most of Suntec Centre is closed off for renovation so the whole area is quite dead.
But as OZ says, even the cheapest hotels are running USD 150...

Singapore most expensive Asian city to spend a night for travellers
A night's stay for two costs nearly $500, survey finds

SINGAPORE is still the most expensive Asian city to spend a night in, according to a new survey.
An evening for two is said to cost $495.79 in the Republic, which took 14th spot globally - just edging out Tokyo in 15th place, where an overnight stay will cost travellers the equivalent of $495.64.
Travel website TripAdvisor's survey, called TripIndex Cities 2013, was based on an overnight stay for two people that would include a return taxi trip, a night's stay at a four-star hotel, a two- course dinner and cocktails.
Some 49 cities were included in the list, now in its third successive year.
