Flew Singapore Airlines arriving 1:15 PM and Action Travel were waiting so straight off to Angeles took about 2.5 hours.
Booked into Orchid (standard room) good enough for me. Still has good food and found the staff was friendly and good.
One point about hotel staff no matter what hotel (well there may be exceptions that I haven't been to yet) I find if you are polite and treat the staff with respect that they will look after you.
4TH July bash at the Orchid was a fun time and if you was in AC and you missed it then bad luck...
Bars:
I actually prefer the smaller bars than the larger ones and invariably tend to stick with some old favourites. Here are just some of the places I went into.
Blue Nile, nice bar with a good selection of girls and some stunners but found it to be a bit loud, but still worth the visit.
Blue Fox, worth a look in still with some nice girls and lots of fun.
Brown Sugar, still a good bar with some very nice young ladies.
Cleopatras, was there when Duke was. Some nice girls and one that was a little over the top for me (can't remember her name but had blonde hair). Not that I minded the lap dance she did or the fact that she kept sticking her lovely tits in my face or that she bangs like a dunny door in a wind storm but just a little too full on and could become a little possessive.
Club Amore, nice place here and it has its fair share of stunners.
Dirty Duck, this is my favourite bar, found some cuties in this bar and I can't complain about the massages I got at the bar either (cost a few drinks but what the f*** it was good).Loved they way the girls would mob me when I walked in.
Flamingo, I had some good nights here, some cute girls that like to have some fun.
Misty's, as always this is a good bar and worth stopping in for a few brews and to check out the talent and they do have some talent there.
Niffty's, same as Misty's and I like the theme nights.
Nero's, still a nice place with its fair share of babes.
Roadhouse, Still a favourite for me, love the uniforms and the way you get a glimpse of tit when the girls are dancing (even though it is only line dancing).
As for the 2 for 1 happy hour, good idea but unless you're a quick drinker you may need to ask the waitress to bring your second beer after you finish your first not at the same time)
Welcome Inn, not a bad way to start the day.
Food wise I found Kokomos served up a fair feed as did the Orchid (I like their buffet at lunchtime).

I usually stay in cheaper places like Europhil for about PHP800/night. Orchid inn prices can be found on http://www.orchid-inn.com
Reg. barfines and drink prices, http://www.balibagolive.com has updated prices. However, I can not access the site right now, hopefully it's just a temporary glitch. Barfines are usually around PHP1000. Additional tip for the girl is up to you and not mandatory.

EWR's (barfines) are still in the 1000 peso range although Buccaneer bar is only 500 and pay the girl after(experimenting with the old system) I think Pattayaland has this system also.
Breakdown of barfine is p500 for the bar and p500 for the girl all paid up front(to the bar,she gets her cut next day), however some (most) guys still give the girl a couple hundred peso's extra in the morning.
Exchange rate $US1=Peso53.30 Brit Pound was 88.40 euro was around 64.00(I think) and $AUS1=35.80

A good one to look at is Kokomoz as they now have rooms there which include computer with broadband internet and the computer doubles for the cable television as well(I think for around 1100/1200 peso range.
Or the Hotel Hana which is a little out of the way but has been getting some good reviews and is reasonably priced.....
Most of the bars are withing walking distance of each other with Fields ave having the most bars along with Real and Raymond streets this area would be the main grouping of bars with some bars up on Perimeter rd whilst yet others can be found scattered all over.

Thanks, Maxxy and jimax, great info and the websites are terrific also. It seems the girls are even cheaper than those in BKK with the higher exchange rate vs the dollar and all. Should I initiate myself with the cuties in Manila first or AC is it? I notice that AC is 2 to 3 hrs by bus from Manila airport. I assume the traffic is as bad there as in BKK if not worse. Safety is not a big issue, right? Would you recommend a side trip to AC or Manila next time I am in Hong Kong?

I spend about 30% of my time on business in the PI and these are my observations:
AC is in Pampanga, a provance 3 to 5 hours ride depending on traffic and construction. Outside of the GoGo bars and the old Airbase (now a HQ for DHL), there is nothing much.
In Manila you can go to P Burgos ST. It is located in Makati City, Metro Manila. Makati is the Mahattian Island of PI. You can find Hotels from 5 Star to 2 Star. Clubs include Banditos, Heckle & Jeckle, Fridays etc. Another place to get action is to go to The Hard Rock Cafe in Glorietta Mall. Here there are freelancers that are the same price as GoGo Girls and have no Barfine. Drinks are the same price as P Burgos but there is a 400P cover that includes 2 Drinks. No lady drink hassles either.
Finally, if you are a real cheapo then on the second floor of Gloretta Mall, just stand at the rail overlooking the central hub and freelancers will come. Also outside of Havana near the fountain in Greenbelt Mall # 3.
I have found that the freelancers (unlike BKK) are better educated and cleaner than the GoGo Girls and far superior to anything you will find in AC. AC and Subic both have seen better days. All of the Expats (Japanese and White) stay in Manila so the higher quality girls gravite there.
From a security standpoint, security is better in Manila. The NPA is very active in Pampamga and the JI is active in Leyte (another story that we cannot go into now).

Great info by China Sailor - thanks! I have mainly been to AC myself, so I can not provide any info reg. Manila. But keep in mind that while AC is great for barhopping there is absolutely nothing to do in the daytime. So after 3-4 days it can get pretty boring unless you don't mind spending all your time during the day at the hotel pool.

Probably get slammed for this one but...
Yeah the girls in Makati are much better than Angeles but also at a premium price (3-4 times as much).
Drinks are also around double that of Angeles as well.
Better value in Manila would be the EDSA complex...
Besides the air in Manila you can see what you are breathing like BKK and yes Angeles is a dusty place.

As far as travelling from the airport to Angeles....if you stay in Manila for a night or two first you can then make your way down to the Swagman Hotel just off Del Pilar st Ermita and catch the Fly The Bus service for around 350 pesos.

While in Angeles I heard allot guys complaining about the scene. Moaning about Runners, bad food, bar rip-offs and poor sexual performances by the girls. I’ll post my FR in hopes that it’ll help someone else enjoy the scene.
In early March I spent a week in Angeles, three days were business at the old Clark AFB where I stayed at the Holiday Inn and three days were pleasure where I stayed at the Clarkton.
I hit all of the bars on Fields and these were my top five.
La Bamba ….. Atmosphere 7 Qty Girls 7 Girls Attitude 9
Camelot … Atmosphere 9 Qty Girls 7 Girls Attitude 6
Brown Sugar…. Atmosphere 5 Qty Girls 10 Girls Attitude 7
Confetti’s…. Atmosphere 6 Qty Girls 5 Girls Attitude 8
Owls Nest….. Atmosphere 5 Qty Girls 5 Girls Attitude 8
Best Atmosphere…Camelot is a newer glitzy bar, good music, friendly staff, clean. They served some mixed drinks that were strong…..not stingy with the whiskey. Girls were not pushy at all about Ladies Drinks.
Best Quantity of Girls….Brown Sugar had the most, I talked to the German who manages the place and he say’s there are 150 girls and 12 mamasans on the payroll working two shifts. If you have a special request for a girl who will do it all, talk to the mamasan and they will bring’em over one by one. Don’t assume the girls will perform sex, if you do it is at your risk as to what you will get. Ask the mamasan and you know exactly what you’ll get back in the Hotel room. Whether she gets back to the room and picks her nose all night or goes around the world it’ll cost 1,000 pesos.
Best Girls Attitude/Quality….The Labamba girls were game for damn near anything. There was always a keeper on stage. Although Brown Sugar has the quantity with allot of filler, Labamba has the quality. The girls know how to have fun back in the Hotel room, almost Eden type experience w/o the toys. Honorable Mention….Confetti’s, mamasan pointed out a particular heavy girl, very curvy, who was early 30’s. She promised that she would F like a Rabbit, she did not disappoint.
What I liked about Angeles, except for a brief window ranging from 5am to 2pm, you could find a decent bar on Fields to pull a girl from. The earliest I pulled a girl was from Brown Sugar at 2:00 pm, the latest was 4:30 am from Owl’s Nest.
I never caught myself setting my alarm while I took a nap, I knew that whatever time I woke up I could hit a Go-Go and find a decent girl. As all PI post’s state….the girls outnumber the punters 10-1.
Best moment was pulling two top shelf girls from La Bamba at 4pm….took them both back for two shots each and a nap. Awoke at midnight and went to Owl’s Nest and took back a young cutie who was a cousin of one of the LaBamba girls. Woke up next day at 2pm, wandered into Brown Sugar and took a stunner out of their. It was non-stop action with a different girl for three days.
They have a Thai restaurant on Fields that sucks, overpriced, small portions and bland. Margaritaville serves good Thai food but the service is sometimes slow. The restaurant at the Clarkton hotel serves good food, huge portion, reasonably priced, fast service. My girl ate with me and ordered one Filipino style dish, she said her whole family could live on that one portion for two days. Not exactly her words but that was the jest of the conversation. Avoid the restraunts on the old Clark AFB, they advertise as upscale, overpriced with terrible food.
Unlike LOS if you see a girl dancing and want to pull her or buy her a drink just motion her over to your table. You don’t have to wait until she finishes dancing/shuffling.
Shot pool at Margaritaville and Stingers……if that’s your thing I’d recommend those two places.
Your mileage may vary…..it was a good trip for me but unless I’m sent there on business I’ll save my travel for LOS and Pattaya.

Great info guys, will have to check out la bamba for sure.
Will be in PI for about 3-4 wks from early june - 1st time visit.
Plan is to spend a night or 2 in manila, then bus to angeles for a week. Then.....whatever, open to offers.
Is there anyone out there who's willing to meet up for a beer, help me settle in?
