There's plenty of information on this place already on this forum. I was there last week and, if anything, it's getting busier everytime I go.
Actually, it's a bit too busy for my liking.
A good alternative - more relaxed and less intense - is Amazonia across the road and 100 metres down, heading towards the bay.

Searching through, can't find location of LA Cafe. Can someone plse indicate where it is? Makati or Malate? Streets? Amazonia is also close by or not? Thank you for help. I'll post a FR as soon as I've had a chance to drop by.

LA Cafe is in Malate / Ermita area. It's on Avenue del Pilar (or something similar). I usually find it more convenient to jump in a taxi and ask for the Pan Pacific on avenue Adriatico. From there it is two blocks away...
If you stand with your back to the entrance of Pan Pacific Hotel, walk down the first side street on your right.
Turn right onto Mabini, then left, then right again. It's no more than 400 metres away. Very easy to find.
Amazonia is also on del Pilar. Come out of LA Cafe and head left, towards the Manila Bay. Amazonia is about 200 metres down the road, on the other side of the street.

At the moment, I am sitting in an internet cafe 1 block away from LA cafe.
Just for old time sake, I will gulp down San Migs. To acclimatize from Bangkok, I will do so until 5am.
La cafe: 24/7. The way it should be. An even the ho’s from down South speak English.

Well, it turned out I didn’t last till 5am. A 22-year old beauty from Samar changed my mind after 3 SMB’s. Sweet Mother of God, it felt good to stroke that typical silky smooth Filipina skin again, while having a conversation in decent English. Sex gets lifted to such a higher plateau when you can get some verbal chemistry going first (far beyond the obligatory “Where you from?” and “Where you stay?”)
La Café is the same as before (for those who haven’t been there, it’s like a small CM2). Except for the fact that now men also have to pay the 100 pesos entrance fee for the second floor. The talent was not bad, but not awesome either. But that has to do with the fact that it is Holy Week here and Manila is almost empty as people are visiting their provinces.
Manila is still the filthy, smelly, yet always smiling and entrancing city I love with all of my soul. As soon as I set foot of the plane, I just felt it rushing through my veins. Exhilarating!
