Seems to me either
a) No ones bothered to make the trip to SOL.
b) The bar is so good now, that everyone has moved into it
0r my least favourite c) Some Threaders have been there, not liked what they've seen and found it too painful to write a report...

Gentlemen of the BTForum,
I am pleased to report that I may allay your worst fears. I have just returned from SOL where I got a deepthroat blowjob on the sofa nearest the door with my pants down in full view of anyone who cared to notice. Yes, the under bar area is closed---no more famous curtains. That's sad. The bar has been shifted to the side a bit and a bunch of lockers for the girls installed on the far wall. A pretty bunch of glass shelves for the liquor bottles. The bathroom has seen the greatest changes. It takes up the entire area that the old bathroom and backroom used to, with sort of separate chambers in there for each facility. There is also the ottoman in there for you know what, This was pointed out to me by K. Wichai who proudly took me on a tour after I finished business with Pla. I reckon they'll [we'll] slide back into debauchery eventually.

Yes - I can just confirm the seajohn's remarks and comments.
I was in SOL yesterday at about 7 p.m. Full action on the sofas as well as in the backroom!!
I also missed the famous curtains under the bar but anyway, the action and the "deep service" are back.
By the way, I also visited the Wild Country bar in Sukhumvit near soi 22. - NO comparison with SOL - The ladys are quite "in the upper years" and they made to me a low-motivated impression. So I left the bar after a beer again.

One thing I was going to mention was that this new look inside has actually made the place sort of clean. Not bad. The new sofa. I didn't feel like I maybe was wallowing in a miasma of generations of bacteria etc. That infamous smell seems to have evaporated somewhat too.
We're going to have blow quite a few loads getting it back to the filth we were used to.

Damn it Seajohn - you beat me to it.
I went down 4 ish. parked my motorcycle right on the street (PP2). Walked inside. The decrepit lockset (doorknob) & door are gone - replaced by new. The front wall was not torn out to make an open air beer bar. My fave - Pla arrived about the same time I did. Papa greeted me on the street - telling me today was grand opening. he later opined that he had been closed for a total of 12 days. Man !!!!! They must have spent some money. Back of the bar is glass shelves lined with liquor bottles & glasses - just like a real bar. Lots of lights - lots of white paint. A new air con twice the size of the old one. Where the little cubby hole used to be are lockers for the girls purses, kleenex, mouthwash etc. New bathroom. I got told that bj's are on offer on the 2 semi circular sofas as before BUT I could get trimmed in the restroom!!! Awesome - let's go. All of the old team are there - saw Rabbit. Pee Tuk - with customer. Nok - with customer. Earn - not come today.
I heard Pla shout out that she was locking the bathroom door.
