But seriously, nowadays the bathroom area is actually divided into 3 segments:
A tiny foyer opens into the central chamber which contains a sink and an ottoman. Girls brush their teeth and clean their throats here.
To the right is a small un-doored room with a male urinal. No man will come in and use this, however, should the bathroom be otherwised utilized. Door locked.
To the left is a more enclosed room with a squat toilet and a vat of water. Depending on what the girls have down they bath themselves there to various degrees. Customers don't. Those I myself wash my penis at the sink in the first chamber. Or someone washes it for me. So. Hygiene in the SOL.

Oops, you're right of course, Magi. Maybe I was thinking of the old dirty bathroom--wasn't much room in there for many and I think it used to get locked. But I can't remember... Hmmm maybe not.
The new bathroom is open to all as you pointed out. Women come in and watch or bathe or offer more or whatever. But I have never had a man come in because the girls in the bar will tell them the bathroom's not free if someone heads that way.

I used to like the bj in the bar and the assorted additions in the back-room, and even now, they do have a certain appeal for me, which cannot be equalled.
I find though, that the bar is being utilised fully whenever I go there these days, and so I really do prefer take-away or home delivery service.
By the way, Listerine refused to do a commercial in the Star of Light, because one girl in the 20 uses another brand.....but a nice thought though.

For some time now, after careful consideration and due assessment,, I have viewed the Star of Light as the only truly good and rewarding experience of a bj bar in Bangkok.
The girls there have so much to offer and their attitude and goodwill is tremendous.
After a long time stuck in Bangkok, years in fact,, I managed to get down to Pattaya recently, to conduct an in-mouth survey of the bj bars down there.
I didn't want to be accused of sampling too few bj bars.
I hadn't realised that it would take so long.
What a let-down. A quick half-smile to greet you....and then after, the cheap, nasty, complaining, whining, moaning about a tip not big enough etc, etc. Some of the bars, particularly Spricey, kicked up of fuss of wanting double the amount quoted. What a head-ache. Who needs that ? You can keep Pattaya as far as bj bars are concerned..
I've got quality here in the Star of Light, dedication, enthusiasm, humour and friendliness. Girls who give you whatever time you want and more. Never asking for more. No moaning. Just pleasant and friendly and welcoming.
What a delight to be back in Bangkok.

You have been going to SOL for how many years now, how many visits and deposits you have made there, countless.
Put things in a little perspective. They should and do treat you like the prodigal son. Of course the SOL girls will make you happy and take very good care of you, you are a valued financial customer.
The couple of times I visited SOL, I was treated the same way you were treated in Pattaya, maybe not as harshly, but they certainly did not give me the warm fuzzy feeling. Within a few minutes of entering SOL, the pressure was put on me for a BJ, and when I said, 'Not yet, I want to have a drink first', they could not care less about me. It was hard to make conversation with them after that.
Now if you were a frequent financial visitor in a particular BJ bar in Pattaya as you are in SOL, I feel certain they would treat you in the same manner. It is a prick of a job they do at any BJ bar, but you have to give them a bit of time for them to come around to the friendly humourous side.
Unfortunately you possibly only paid 1 visit to the Pattaya bars, had you gone back a couple of more times, they would have opened up IMO.

I must confess that I have been going a few good times over the years and have had to resort to imbibing at least a thousand litres of Tiger beer to replenish the loss of bodily fluids.
But I must insist that the girls do not treat me as a prodigal son. The expression smacks too much of an incestuous relationship that I would not be too comfortable with. neither would they.

I've never encounterd that in SOL....not even on my first visit....and I've seen them treat newbies with understanding, gentleness and pleasantries.
But they give short-shrift to anyone who tries to bull-shit or put one over on them.
And I am surprised that you got that reception when first you went there. I can only assume that they tumbled to the fact that not only are you a noble son of Australia, but a fisherman to boot.
How that would make a difference, fails to reach my understanding. But maybe, and I only suggest maybe, the verbal expression of your first priority of partaking of the orange-juice or beverage that you so desired at the time, as opposed to the bj, might have sounded a touch more enthusiastic for the former, owing to the fact that you had a thirst on you. This may have been mistakenly taken to mean that your need for a bj was way down on your list of priorities, which I'm sure it wasn't and never has been.
It might have been better, swinging into the Star of Light, your fishing rod and tackle in hand, to have boldly raised your voice in reply and said, Yes, I'll have that blow-job and while the five of you are getting ready, I'll have a drink.
Now, that would have gone down a storm. They would all have been interested in helping you to arrange your rod and tackle in ways that you would want them to be, They'd have asked you all sorts of questions about laying or landing a big catch and more than lightly, they'd have swallowed everything that you would have given to them, hook, line and sinker.
But I take your point.
Still no excuse to treat a visitor like that. And I would think that Pattaya has many visitors on a one and only trip, as does the Star of Light.

How does all those old sayings go?
"Treat people how you wish to be treated".
"Good deeds come back to you".
etc.
These old philosophical / religious principles aren't as universal as they should be (e.g., treat someone well and you may still end up being treated like shit) but I find that the SOL girls, in particular, hold to that ideal and the better you treat them, the better they treat you.
It's really quite simple if you think about it. Treat someone like a whore and they'll treat you like a customer. Treat them like a person and they'll treat you like a friend. Treat them like a deserving and desirable woman and they'll blow your mind.
Like everything in life, you get what you put into it.
