It is a slightly out-of-date map but it will give you a fairly accurate idea as to where the Star of Light is situated.

If you go to Patpong 2 on Suriwonge road, walk up the narrow covered walkway that runs next to the Patpong 2 soi, on its left.

Keep on walking on that narrow pavement / sidewalk, past a few bars. Then the sidewalk turns to the right of you, to take you down the covered walk-way that runs parallel to the remainder of Patpong 2. At that junction, on your right you will see the Star of Light shining on you. The girls at the table outside will greet you and invite you in to heaven and to the temptations of their fruit.

If you get 'served' ( serviced ?) in the bar, the lady who provides it got 300 baht of the 500 baht you used to pay for the in-bar blow-job.. As of June 2006, after years of no increase in price at all, the charge is now 700 baht for an in-house blow-job and 1000 baht for an in-house FS.
The ladies who get a lady drink from you, get a few baht out of the price of the lady drink, maybe 30 baht if it is a cola.
If you bar-fine the lady, the bar gets the bar fine of 400 baht to cover the loss of her drawing-in-customers power during the time when she is away from the bar.
She gets the full amount of what you separately negotiate with her.
She gets no salary from the bar.

The bar is the place to go especially during the day and the afternoon when it does the most action. Evenings are fine, but quieter and not so busy after 9 p.m. and of course by that time lots of the ladies have been booked for later or have been taken already, but not all, by any means.

So, besides any lady drinks and your own drinks that you may have to pay for in the bar, there is the bar-fine of 400 baht, the short-time hotel between 300 and 500 baht plus the amount you negotiate with the lady.
Each lady would have their own idea as to what they charge, according to what you want and for how long. So it is important to broach these subjects before you leave the bar.
Some say that there is a standard price for certain basic things. But those of you who frequent the bar and have had the pleasure of a number of the ladies there, over time, know that this is not true.
It is advisable to agree upon a price before you leave the bar and to agree upon what she is prepared to do with you. Then everyone is happy afterwards.
And of course if you are really pleased, you might wish to give her a generous tip, as most people that I know do.

I just went there a couple of times and I thought it was just a blow job bar. I had to see what a blow job bar was and it was amusing to me... to watch some girl give a guy a bj right there in front of everyone.
The place is a little seedy but I decided to try it out myself and turned to find out that they do sex for 200 more baht than a bj (500 bt) in which the total came to 700 bt for sex in some small room in the back.
Cant complain if you are a bargain shopper!!! The girl was ok looking... not a stunner but good and they have a few other cute girls there.

I like the Sar of Light and the Kangaroo bar you should try both. The both are in Patpong. I liked the Kangaroo better. Check out Ms Pen, fun lady to spend some time with. Honest and speaks excellent english.

I went up to Kangaroo but didnt see anything good... but then again... I just finished from Star of Light too. So, I need time to get the Light Sabre up and working!!!
Pen, huh? How much is it in Kangaroo? I must admit that I havent been to Lolitas yet either but I am planning to go.
And I also agree with you two... the seedier the better. Well, not that seedy. But, I can say that 700 baht plus 80 for the Heineken is a good bargain shopper deal for full service!!!

Hmmm the time I visited SoL the ST room was not available cos of a police raid. It was closed for long time. I tried BJs only but a bit shy to had 'em at the main bar so, I got the services at the toiled where a nice couple of chairs were placed (a tall and a small one). Not the best environment but the service was excellent!!!!
Yup! 700 TB for a full service was also available but wasn't in a good mood to get any during my visits....they said "go inside the toiled or at the sofa" ....no way! Nice to hear the ST room is available nowadays.

DC - Kangaroo was B700 when I went today. This was in the small room. BTW - it was a BBBJ with CIM.
I don't see how the place can be called Kangaroo Bar. Its not very Australian. The only Aussie thing about it was that it served a few Aussie beers and had a few flags hanging up. (Not that it matters - I didn't exactly go for the decor. Just an observation).

Perhaps it is the Kangaroo bar as they go "down under" or "things keep jumping up" ..
Who knows.. I have attempted here to come up with a reason for the name here..
Maybe you can shed some light on why a bar would be called "star of Light".. perhaps a biblical reference??
