It would be nice if EVERYONE would give a pass to a bar that barred ANYONE because of their heritage. But it ain't gonna happen and we know that.
So would it be helpful for anyone lodging a complaint to also add their heritage/ethnicity?

Maybe it won't happen everytime, but as long as it happens, even one time, then that's a victory for all of us, even if only a small one. Also it most definitely won't or can't happen at all if we don't know which places are guilty of these practices to begin with.
That being said so far we have Long Gun to start off the list. Now this next one I don't have personal experience with. I'm just posting what has been only a rumor so far but has now been 100% confirmed.
We've all heard that as of the beginning of this year the Soi 7 beer garden will no longer allow blacks inside, period. Up til now that has never been proven to be a fact, only hearsay. Well thanks to brother Bok Hah we now know this to be a fact.

Good enough for me and the fact that I'm black doesn't have anything to do with it. So that's 2 places in LOS that I will never set foot inside. Let's hear number three. Peace

Well if you don't know the difference between being charged extra once you're through the door and not being allowed through the door in the first place then don't let me stop you. You have the right to spend your money anywhere you choose to spend it. Just as I should also have the right to choose where NOT to spend mine.
Only difference is that I don't know which places not to go to to spend my money. THAT'S THE POINT OF ALL THIS. You're right, the bar owners should be allowed to make and enforce the policies of their bar. I fully support that.
I would just prefer to know in advance which places not to go to in the first place so that I can avoid them completely rather then not know, show up there, and be told YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE. Is that too much to ask?
No one is telling you where you are or are not allowed to go. Why aren't the rest of us entitled to those same rights? Spend your money wherever you choose to. You earned it after all. I won't step on your rights to spend your money, don't step on my rights not to spend mine. Peace

Correct, just as I would like to know places which overcharge so I know not to enter there ..... way ahead of the trouble I might have inside ....

went to Long gun months ago along with my
black buddy from the US and not permitted to
get in - members only, reasoned by the door girl.
we din't make any fuss about it and get into the
other clubs w/o any problems. on my buddy's next
trip (a few months later) we went to Long gun again
but this time nobody stopped us on the door and we
were able to get in easily (even if the door and hello
girls are there). not much customers and nothing
special during that time so we decided to go out. It
gave me the impression that Long gun is getting
selective only when they have a lot customers
on a given night.

How about all the 'Japanese Only' places in Bangkok? That is far worse than a few random occasions when the girls said 'members only'. I personally have never had a problem at any place other than the 'Japanese Only' places.

You gotta laugh at some of the dumps near Suk that say Japanese only. They might as well say "ATMs only". Who the hell else would want to go there anyway? When I lived in Jakarta the Japanese karaoke clubs did not have to announce anything - they just posted a menu on the door with the cost of a glass of whiskey, and you knew what was up immediately.
