Early evening, couple or five cheap beers and some good eye candy?
Usually in BKK every 7 or so weeks and the Dollhouse, Soi Cowboy a fave.
Anyone suggest a good alternative?

Soi 7 beer garden or the open air restaurant across the street. New wave pool hall next door. Golden or big dogs beer bar soi 4, just watch the girlies passing by. If you want a change from the go gos.

As BC said, Big Dog's at the NEP entrance is a nice place to watch the girls show up for work. They have some nice looking girls there and for the most part don't hassle too much. The owner is a really nice guy from New York. Highly recommended.
If you like pool then I would also suggest the pool bar on the third floor of Country Road (Soi 19). Draft Heineken is 50 baht, bottles are 80 baht. Not that cheap, but cheaper than Soi Cowboy or NEP. Some really nice looking and friendly girls in there. You will not be hassled for LD at all in this place. If you like to play dice the girls are always up for a game.

Queen's Castle 2 in Patpong was serving 50B drinks until 10 as of two months ago...There are happy hours up and down Soi 33, but that just brings the drinks down from 160B to 80B in the artist bars...The Office has 59B draft beer all night long. It used to be Carlsberg, but I don't know if that's still the case given the Carlsberg dispute.
