Four of the forums classier members, the ones that would not be seen at such low class establishments such as Suan Luam ? night bazaar, visited some out of the way gogo bars last night and a different but good night was had by all. Some of the attractions....
80b heiny's, large ones.
70b lady drinks.
300b bf's
1700b lt's.
120b bottle whiskey.
and some very very cute little thai girls that have never seen the working end of a falang.
One member was so mesmerised by the beauty of one, he stayed behind at one particular bar to watch the ladyboy show, another took one home at 1.30, girl that is, not ladyboy.
Nice and relaxed different atmosphere, I had been here before twice last year, but the newibies had never been, although one nervous character kept looking in the darker corners for his father inlaw.

I found this an interesting post, but have not seen any follow up recently. Have the four "classier members" of the forum (and for the life of me, I can only think of 3 classy members including myself) been back? If so, update? If not, how about a PM on the location?

it's called Sapahn Kwai & it's near the intersection of Suttisan Road & Pahon Yotin Road
If you go by BTS, just get off at the Sapahn Kwai station, go down on the South-East side of the station and get a tuk-tuk to the go-go/karaoke bars on Suttisan
I've been MANY times & confirm MN's prices, etc.
Either know how to speak Thai, or have a need to learn if you go there
there is one additional item for pricing, if you don't buy the gal a drink, they automatically charge you 80b/hour to sit with you
My S'Pore mates loved it there since the set-up was quite similar to what they're used to, but heaps cheaper

RCA1 (the last last bar out, headed toward Vipawadee-Rungsit Road) has some long tables & plenty of room, but none of those places even open until 8pm
but you could meet at the beer garden which is right near the Siam Commercial Bank on the same road, then carry the party over to the pubs from there

I would like to have some updates on Spahan Kwai, anybody have been there recently ? Which bars are good which bars are a nono. From my experience the concept is like this: Singha/Heineken beers: 100 to 120 baht for a big bottle. When the lady sists with you 70 to 80 baht for 30/45 minutes. She can drink from your beer or you can order her a new drink that is added to the bill. I know the Thai style of drinking is Whiskey and mixers, anybody know if you can bring your own bottle inside, cause I have seen a shop selling bottles right on the opposite side of the bars.
Barfines : 1500/1700 Shorttime (includes bar and girl) Tip for girls : up to you but not necessary.
Long time : 2000 (seems to be an offical time as well meaning the girl leaves the room at 6 AM.
Language : I have seen some girls that can speak English but the overall experience is they only speak Thai, ask the staff for English speaking girls, they know. If you can speak Thai even better here.
Safety: quite safe if you don't look for trouble yourself. I know these bars have undercover bouncers outside and inside, since whiskey can make some people go Loco they need it more than the bars with beer drinking foreigners.

Some girls in Saphan Kwai will not allow themselves to be barfined by farang, only Thai men. When I was there, it was pointed out to me which girls would go with farang, but only when I asked.
No need to get into a big discussion here about why that is, but the short version is that some Thai guys will not take a girl that has been barfined by farang, so if a girl is seen being barfined by a farang, this will be known to regular Thai customers, as all the girls will be happy to tell customers a particular girl goes with farang.
I think 99% of the time, the Thai guys way here is to take them someplace, f*** them and then part ways.
Harlem Music Club was the best one we were at. Bimmher and I took two cute girls out of there last year, Bimmher's girls was an absolute stunner and a nice girl who was awful in bed (or so he told me). Mine was just fine.
