I have to say that I feel sorry for who invested real cash in there, no customers at all in every bar.
Don't feel so sorry for us Andre! I own one of the bars in Suk 1 Plaza. I reckoned on 18 months before we came into profit. We have managed this after only 6 months. And in a few weeks we open another bar in the same building which will be a Salsa/Latin bar.
You really don't need to pack the customers in every night to have a profitable business, (although it's always nice and helps me on the road to being a millionaire...)

The bar is Night Night Joop Joop, towards the rear of the ground floor. It's nothing really special, just a pool and beer bar, but we have quite a few regulars!
BTW, this bar business is really more a drinking club for friends (although I'm happy to see it make a profit). My main business is writing software for, and operating the mobile phone sms text message services back in the UK. (Much more proftable...)

Josephine's is pretty good - Joop Joop was closed by the time I was there (after 1am).
As said earlier, Josephines stays open very late -- I was told until 5am but I didn't stay that long. It has a great rooftop terrace with those mist-fans blowing and a couple of pool tables in an airconditioned room. The terrace seems split between a "bar" area with funky spinning bar stools and a "dining" area with tables. The lines seemed to blur as the night went on and it just seemed like one big bar.
Spoke to the manager, he says they stay open late but sometimes, say once a week or so, they get shut down. Indeed, the second time I went they had been closed by the police -- later the manager called my bodyguard and told her the place was back up and running so they don't seem to strict about it. (and people were just filing out when it was closed, I don't think it was a line up and pee type of deal).
Definitely worth a visit when Nana turns off the lights...

Just beware the fake drinks they pour!!!!!
By doing so they do not deserve our business..................
Above has now been confirmed by an employee of this joint. Beware!!
The place is being ran into the ground, too much police attention, fake drinks (or laced drinks) and bad ownership/management.
Normally I am not that harsh but this place ruined some good nights out for me and others. My desicion not to go anymore is followed by others who were affected by the drinks....
The people who know me will also know that I have a problem with going hom,e and love late night drinking spots. I will move elsewhere again....

Hi WanderingSam, Night Night Joop Joop keeps to the same hours as most bars - 2pm - 1am. It is simply not worth our trouble to try to stay open later than that. The Josephine Bar on the roof does stay open late, but no doubt has to pay high tea money 
Our new bar should be open hopefully by the end of the month. It's a fairly small, enclosed bar on the ground floor which will have a salsa music theme, with corn chips, sour cream etc. The bar is called 'Revolution Salsa Bar' and will be more for those of you who want a quiet drink with your mates or a decent girl, rather than loud music and loud girls.
Also, cos I'm an internet/Linux guy, I will install a decent machine for ADSL internet access. That machine will also allow 'server admin' functions, such as secure FTP, putty etc (if that means anything...)

Popped in here for drink the other day.
It was quiet great place to play pool and a few good looking ladies there.
I'm back in the uk now but next time i'll have a better look around.

I also had a bad experience in Josephines last week.
I ordered food for 4 of us, then before they served it they wanted to be paid first.
I paid up under protest and the order was served. It was not complete and I got the impression that I was meant to just accept it. I complained and the problem was eventually sorted out but I will never go there again.
From time of order to time of serving was at least an hour.
I also know that many of the girls working in the soi 1 bars will not go there either.
