I'm sure she was very happy having been paid over the average price for ST. Maybe she would have been happy with 1,500 baht or even less. If you were her first customer in one week she may have been happy with 1000 baht.
They do have the idea that with the global economy and unemployment high in the West, that tourists have less money to spend now-a-days.

those massage girls in huay kwang area invariably try to charge me the moon for their services even though they know im a regular and know the pricing.
if they r good I wont go back just knowing the want me to ovepay in a down econmomy.....lol.

They certainly are coming around, even some Nana Plaza bars have started HappY Hours that actually make people Happy ! This is not something that has been done before, everyones feeling the pinch.
I've never had a problem getting Patpong girls for 1,000 ST whatever I look like or act like, I have however paid 1,500 for a few too.
Electric Blue is a good bar and has plenty of quality girls.
