A black ( african american) friend told a group of us about his experience in Pattaya. He went to an English style pub down one of the quiet sois off second road. As he approached, he could hear some laughter and noise coming from inside. But once he had opened the door and stepped inside, the place dropped to a total and utter silence. He was sure he'd stepped into a den of bigotry and was going to receive some abuse.
Then he heard a voice amplified by a microphone say,
"Question number twelve, which capital city was the....."

That actually happened to me back in 2003 in ( Where else? ) Rainbow 1 bar at Nana.

Sorry to hear that....
I've never actually been in side Long Gun, even though I've always heard it was a great bar. When I first came to Soi Cowboy back in 2002, I had no problems walking into the place with my black self, but as soon as I got in the door, it was just too crowded, so I left for another bar ( which happened to be Baccara..  )
This year was the first time I returned to Soi Cowboy, but I spent most of my time on the East side Bars, Started with Baccara and worked my way down until I got to Dollhouse (Then the place closed at 1:00 am.....Oh how I miss the 2:00 am closing times! )
Next time, I'll try to go into Long Gun, but I'll put on some white makeup and a wig before I do, and see what happens....
