That makes me think about how some of the FL girls might feel being turned down by us punters, whether for their looks, body language, attitude, whatever. I have seen some girls go wicketless after walking the streets for 14-16 hours even when their companions walk away with custom several times. While it would be silly to class that as discrimination in some way, maybe there is some poetic justice in us being placed at the wrong end sometimes -- just so it opens up our senses and sensitivities.

There sure is racism in some Thai Bars against Indians, that I can say, being an Indian myself.
To name a few, it would be -
Rainbow 1 & 2bars in Nana,
BigDogs Bar
now these I remember for sure, as here I have been able to go in if a white guy is with me.
BigDog, I was able to go in the first time I went there, but a few days later I tried to go in again, they didnt allow.
only excuse - sorry, for members only!

but well, there are plenty more available, their loss they aint getting my money. but other than this, I notice that indians aint that welcome in bkk bars, I would put that mildly, as in they are allowed and all, but you wouldn't see the door girls jumping on them to come inside their bars, very few I see jump out, and those are the ones which aint doing that good.

Can;t hold them responsible fully thou, there are some fellow countrymen whom I have met, act real weird and stingy and the talent of bargaining doesnt go off them. Another reason I would say is, only some treat the girls very nicely, but rest treat them okish or bad. bad in the sense less of respect.
In India, prostritution is frowned upon, and a sex worker is really looked down upon, I mean, REALLY looked down at. very conservative society.

Princi, even if a significant number of your fellow countrymen give TGs good reason not to welcome them, the main reason is simply the Thai feeling of superiority to anyone of a darker complexion. I'm afraid it's that easy... Not each and every Thai, but a fair amount...
Some even look down on Western people... like in general ye know... hard to understand but true... The smile covers a lot of lesser friendly things...
Nonetheless, you'll find this type of ethnocentric thinking simply everywhere in the world...

While it is undoubtedly true that just about every Thai girl I have met would prefer to be lighter skinned,mainly because wealthier Thai men (and Japanese men) prefer lighter skin,and hence a whiter skin improves both a Thai girl`s marriage prospects and her market value in the PforP trade,the reasons given to me by PfP Thai girls for avoiding Indian men was their stinginess,and frequent refusal to keep the bargain that they made.

yea, u ppl are right, firstly the Color does make a difference, and well india has a variety from very dark to very fair, but yea, the second thing, about they not keeping up the bargain they made if they are not fully satisfied their way, or their stinginess does hurt the rest who are good.
yea, its worldwide too, but abt bkk, definately still many many more who would happily go out if u just be nice, talk nice!

I was barhopping with a BG and we weren't allowed into Rawhide Bar of all places. The door was slid shut and we were told "members only" by the bouncer, then a BG came out, my BG asked her if we could go in, she escorted us in past the bouncers with no problems.
Ironic part is that the place was dead so we left after about 3 minutes. Overall a wierd experience.
