I have only rarely seen red wine (servered in the proper wine glass) be more than about 40-50% full in the glass. Red wine is usually servered in a large goblet to allow the wine to breath. I am not a bartender, but I thought there are 6 glasses of wine in a 750 ml bottle, so that should be about 125 ml per glass.

I have to agree with Mr. Alan. While white whine (or rosé) can be served in filled glasses, red wine is generally served 50% of the glass, to allow the wine to develop a bouquet.... Of course, not that this would be an issue in a go go, but they may be wrong - and it appears that madfrog doesn't know wines :-P

I dont know much about wine for sure but this one was served in a lemonade glass, and for the price it was quoted for a glass having it filled 40% was simply a joke...
Anyway speaking about the "bouquet" of a wine in LOS sound like a joke to me...

I had a glass of the house red in Country Road second floor bar. Big mistake.
The glass was full, but the wine was ice cold.

Was meeting up with a BTF bro tonight & being close to dinner time thought GT would make a good place to meet. 6:30 pm- 7 pm. I'm a little late. We both arrive with our dates. NF (new friend) needs to escort his lovely friend to work a shift & my 24YO teeny bopper is very engrossed in her mer tung (mobile phone). I order some food while NF takes a hike to NEP. Rocks my world orders herself some food. Now the point of this story is that for a Sunday night GT is very very crowded. Saw a few nice looking FL, one with a huge set of milk bags. Yes - Broch - your type exactly.
As the food arrives so does NF & the Formula One race gets underway. The place is so damn crowded that we end up moving to the lounge area to get enough space to spread out & eat. We have a very nice 50 inch TV to watch though & quiet enough for conversation.
My date decided to go for a hair wash & splits - after eating 2 plates of food. NF & I decide to cruise Bier Garten. Much to my surprise the place is loaded with females (it's Sunday night remember). The bad news is that I didn't see anything over a 5 & no one I had ever shagged. Quick trip through there. Informed NF that this dump has a date with the wreckers ball. I pointed out as how I could build the plave for 40,000 baht. It is just a metal barn, as I'm sure anyone can attest that has sat out a good rain storm in there. I could have it down in 1/2 a day with only the slab floor left. Give me about 6 good welders with oxy acetelene rigs.
So off to Ball in Hand for 2 hours of 9 ball. NF is a good player though he claims to be rusty. Any number of cute girls in there; all of whom available I would guess. SIN looked DOA.

it's been a while since the last message on this topic, but was in gullivers last thursday and got ripped off by one of the better looking bartenders - change for a 100bht note when I gave her 500 bht - only realised later one after i'd left. Be very careful here !

How familiar are you with the Baht?
Just seems strange to me to not realize right away, especially since there were no red bills (100's) in that little black folder when you got it back.
If you still got change for a 100, there should have been 4 red bills in there instead of 1 or 2 smaller green ones, in my opinion almost impossible to overlook.
Unless of course you had a toooo good of a time.
