Going by some comments made on the forum recently as well as my last couple of visits, it seems like Gullivers ain't what it used to be - the best place around Suk to hang out with a good dependable selection of freelancers.
Is there a better spot to find part-timers these days? Soi 7 Beergarden is always a good 'economy class' choice but sometimes just a little bit too skanky for me (and no pool tables for God's sake!) what else is around? Bamboo bar? trek down to CM2? wait for the late night Suk street scene? anything else??

Though I do not play that game, BG7 does have pool tables in an upstairs aircon room above the main arena.

I don't think Gullivers has dropped at all.
Admittedly, you can go in there at times and it seems if it has, but in ten minutes it can be teeming with ladies.
It seems they come in waves.
So don't write off Gullivers after one glance or two. It depends on the time of day or night and the situation can alter rapidly.
Quite a few ladies seems to make the trip to the German Bier Garden and back a few times in the evening. And the Bier Garden in soi 7 isn't always filled with the lower end of the market. You can find some very nice and select choices there if you put in the time.
As for having to wait until nightfall for the Sukhumvit prowl, you don';t need to. If you walk along Sukhumvit at any time, morning or afternoon, if you are looking for it, you'll find it, and oft times be surprised at just how good the selection is.
It's an assumption that the tastiest crumpet only come out at night. Some prefer to sleep at night. Others need to be home to look after the child (ren).
It just needs patience.
But I know that if the need moves you, you are compelled by an urgency that doesn't easily lend itself to allowing you to calmly saunter and view at leisure.

I agree with Cunnilingual -
Gullivers rocks & attracts a steady stream of hot girls. It also helps if you play pool, just go to the back bar & put your name down for a game of "winner stays on" and you are virtually guaranteed attention from the fls.
However, one mustn't assume that all gullivers girls are looking for customers as the place is also frequented by regular girls just looking for a good night out with friends or a game of pool! I once met a really nice mainland Chinese girl there ( with the biggest jugs I have ever seen on an asian girl!!!) who made me take her out a few times for dinner & outings before finally letting me into her bed! Well worth the wait tho!
But really the best place on Sukhumvit to catch freelancers is on the many street-side cafes that spring up between soi3 & soi15 after 11pm. at these places, you can sit down, enjoy a cool brew, or something stronger & maybe even eat some suki or a plate of rice while keeping one eye on the passing talent. Peak time here tends to be after the bars shut at 1am and most cafe owners are very friendly & if you are shy will even approach the girl of your dreams on your behalf!
Prices tend to run at 60-80b for beers,
80-100 for spirits+mixers/ cocktails
&
food from 30b a plate.
And remember- no barfines!

gulliver does have his off days (or the cute FL's, so to speak).
after 1am, Tunnel (they are back), Disco-Tech, Spice11, Tequila Dragon 7/1, The After, Twilo or Funky Dojo at Silom.

I suffer a lot.
usually I just follow my lesbian staff...
twilo can be found in the middle of patpong, live music til 3am at least.
funky dojo at patpong between soi 1 and 2.
the after is across from foodland on the 4th floor.
also lots of freebies here, e.g. gtg's. so be careful, it is not your usual punter scene.
much more interesting, me thinks.
if you have trouble finding those clubs, just follow the flow or ask around.
