I have fond memories of Baccara especially of taking a little cutie in her uniform up against the 2 way mirror looking on to the dance floor (just remember to keep the lights down low or it'll be you whose giving the show!). Alas! it is no more usless they've done some serious recruiting, ÝI popped in a couple of months ago to see if there were any improvements, no deal just a couple of plumpers with bad attitudes. ÝShame great concept and bar gone to ****t.
Mandarin sounds interesting do they have short time facilities Baccara style?

i also frequented this bar a lot when they were the first with the glas floor in bangkok. but as the quality and attitude descended, i simply avoid it.
madarin is the same concept with the better staff, girls and attitude. there are also two short time rooms on the top floor just as in baccara. so your memories of banging somebody against the glas mirror wall, is still repeatable in mandarin!

Sorry to hear that this bar has changed for the worst. I quite enjoyed my June 2002 visit. Still I did wonder whether Bacarra 's manager, Serge, was really in control of the situation....or whether those beautiful dancing situations were really in control of him.

there are 3 ladyboys in mandarin in the downstairs segment, same as you have ladyboys in baccara downstairs too!

Baccarra, if you are still following this thread, let me first extend my appreciation for the glass floor concept. ÝThis is a magnificant architectural feature and worthy of an award. ÝHowever, when I visited your establishment a couple of weeks ago, I was pestered to no end by a couple of not-so-cute BGs (probably katoeys) would wouldn't leave me alone -- worse than mosquitos! ÝI was happy to buy each of them a couple of drinks apiece so that I could watch the show but they still kept bothering me for more. I left, fed up, after a few minutes. ÝIf you'd like to keep the money coming in, please keep your eye on your employees and potential customers streaming out the front door. ÝI would have stayed longer and spent more money if they hadn't had been so obnoxious. ÝJust a thought. Ý

Ditto... it takes more than a glass floor.
I was in last week during peak hours and the place felt dead (at least downstairs)... one poor BG was so homely I felt sorry for her and bought her a cola. ÝShe said she hadn't had a customer in weeks. ÝWoof.
And the aircon was cranked so far up it was frigid.
