I dont think I have ever seen them as desperate as they are now !! The last month most bars ive walked into, have had 20 or 30 BGs, and lucky to have 2 or 3 customers, this has been not only Nana and cowboy, but the soi 33 bars as well. Times are definately tough, - also think perhaps owing to the ecconomy, companies going broke etc, yes, probably a better standard, or should I say some better educated TGs working the bars these days, mind you, having said that, always been a freelancer guy myself -

Well, if by 'soi' you mean Cowboy, then I'd agree it has improved out of sight. ÝAnd, yes, it is easily the most laid-back of the 3 main BKK venues.
It used to be the case that the BGs at Patpong were far better looking than elsewhere. That has averaged out a lot in recent years, but I think the 'ambience' is still significantly different between the three.
In general, I prefer NEP and need to be in the mood for Cowboy. Sometimes I'm in the mood for Patpong instead.

seems like your all time fav. bargirl is from camelot, right?
i also still like patpong, sure you have to play it different than the other places, but think about it when thegirls know that you are not a newbie or at least they realise that you are not damn stupid they actually respect you in their very own way and are for sure less snooty than in other places and can be a fairly good company. just do not stick to the drugged, thai bf sponoring stunners, these kinds are as bad as their sisters in g-spot and rainbow 2!
honestly if i would have to choose between patpong and bars like rain2 or g-spot, i would always still opt for patpong. especiially the rain2 girls are just mercenary money counting f_cking machines with no brain and feelings at all! i feel actually sorry for all these mostly asian guys who do burn their money on them!
patpong has its relaxed bars too! try safari and goldfinger for a change on the pong and you'll be surprised!

Ha, ha. I think it'll be a long time before that bloody place sees my custom again, even if half the girls there are exceptionally easy on the eye. Camelot put me in such a bad mood last time I was there, it f_cked my whole night.
Still, in general, it seems we're just about in complete agreement on the Pong. I also agree that R2 probably has the worst BGs in the whole of BKK, though some of the little madams at KC2 run them pretty close.
Anyway, looks like Patpong's still going to attract only you, me and the world's least clued-up newbies. I find that most people acquire an invincible prejudice against PP and have to be dragged there kicking and screaming.
So be it. All the more for me... Ý

i am amazed we never met, as we are so damn close in our opinions and the places we frequent. also have the same love/hate realtion with camelot and do hate the kc2 damsels as much as their 'superstar' sister in rain2, king1 is still a good time joints for me but mainly drinking and not punting wise!
