I cant see the appeal myself. Though I have only been here for a year or so.......and IMO the BKK Veterans tire of the good looking chicks in NEP/Cowboy etc and need the edginess of a place like this.
Like why some guys become LB curious....shagging good looking gals who wouldnt give them a look back home becomes routine......they need something else...
So...by extension.....I will no doubt by this time next year be the star in a LB cabaret with my assistant Noi from Wild Country pulling Tuk Tuk spare parts out of her gaping ass........just for kicks.
...oh dear.

Not happened to me but it has to a friend of mine were the doors are locked late on and the drinks are flowing and the girls get all naked and you can guess the rest all without going upstairs
If you are still in town after the 16th could hook up for a night out round there?

I get there on the 10th and leave on the 14th. For me the good news is that my job gets me there 5-6 times per year but usually for 2-4 days only. I have been going there now for 10 years and I am still amazed at all the things yet to learn! Thanks for your help. Maybe we will meet next time. I have spent a fair amout of time over the years in the UK. I assume, but may be wrong, that your name refers to the beautiful Yorkshire region. Great Beer, great countryside. You are a lucky man.

Still like TLS. Was in there today for lunch & a root.
Met the famous Taffy. While walking from TLS to NSOP (New Square One Pub) happened to notice a sign in front of Bourbon Street. Happy Hour from noon to 7 pm. in case anyone is interested. Mentioned Heineken & several other brews. Beer 50 baht a bottle.
Not a lot to do there apart from watch sport TV. NSOP I swear have some of the largest mammaries in town.
One can only wonder if Alcatraz will fly or bomb.
TLS have a luncheon special everyday at 60 baht inclusive. Locals hang out as mentioned before. If you are looking for a yuppie pub go somewhere else. Taffy says 18 more months to demolition.

I did a little tour of Washington Square last night. Those bars are kinda unique, huh?
After a beer or two at Londoner, I stopped in to Texas Lone Star which was reasonably full. I've never eaten there, so can't comment on the food, but the staff are friendly enough. No real stunners, but no dogs either. The guy getting diddled by two girls at a table wasnt having a bad time. I finished my beer Singha nam ken duay and wandered up to Wild Country.
Well, what can you say about Wild Country that hasn't already been said. Most of the girls are awful, but friendly. Ooi (how do you pronounce that) is always very welcoming, and I like Pung too. She told me her life story the other night, and it's kinda sad. The girls here are a bit pushy generally, and being jai dee mak mak, I tend to shell out a lot of lady drinks. On a previous trip, I had a drink bill of nearly 2000, but I've set a new tone now and make it clear if I just want to drink quietly. It's a fun hang out place. When I walked in last night, there was only one other farang. He was getting blown by three girls. TIT.
Then onto Cats Meow. I was only my own. Some good 6-7s. nothing special. A more laidback version of WC, I think.
Then I went to Tinas, not on Washington Square but hidden away in soi 22. Again, I was alone. 15 girls..most of them pretty decent. I liked that place...a nice atmosphere.

I've got an overnighter in Bangkok on March 24 and am staying at Regency park Hotel in Soi 22. First time on that side of the road, so when I walk out of the hotel is Washington Square and the bars to the left or right. And I think a visit to Sazanka (when I find it) will be on the to do list.
