I'm going to try to help you out some. You said you agree with H'Guy. Well, H'Guy said and I quote, "EVERY BG that I have spoken with says they much prefer guys who don't drink!"

I rarely drink when I hit the beer bars and go-go clubs. Have found the heat and the alcohol together just doesn't agree we me; drop a Penagra on top of that and I'm guaranteed a bad headache -- feels great when it's in process, then like shit for the rest of the night in the heat. Figure I did enough drinking in my 1st two decades of decadence to make up for now, ha!
Mainly do water and orange juice. Of course, I don't nurse just one O.J. in the gogo for 5 hours, lol, and I do buy lady drinks for the lasses that bend my ear. Never had a complaint, allows me to be a sober dirty old man, lol! And sometimes I even remember the ladies' names the next night...

I often would switch over to Red Bull and voBKa if I was feeling a bit tired. Sometimes downing 4-6 of them with little ill effect except I was then an awake drunk.
Is there any reason not to mix the two?
If I wanted a non alcoholic drink I always ordered water or OJ. Might note that in some places the water cost almost the same as beer.

When a was a younger even more ignorant person than I am now,,,
I went to Tijuana with some buddies and we consumed waky tablets every time we were feeling a bit tired and were drinking XX (dos equis) beer ALL night  , nearly f***ing killed one of us, and the rest of us ended up lying on a beach with the waves washing away our stupor in San Clemente. I just couldn't drive anymore and we had a couple of surfboards along any way, so why not hit the beach. Our original plan was to surf, but we all finally agreed we just felt too f***ing bad to even want to get up off the cool sand
that was my first example of how mixing stimulants and depressants can be BAD, it can even kill you once your BAC - Blood Alcohol Content reached a high enough level you'll stop breathing and heart will also stop beating, and using the stimulants lets you drink and drink and drink more than you normally could, because w/o the stimulants you'd have passed out already
next example,,,
I was tired of beer & whiskey so,,,
I was mixing M150 with beers once, and drank and drank, and drank for almost all night
When I finally slept & woke up I felt like I wanted to vomit, but couldn't, and was sure that my body was in toxic shock of some sort 
then I read on the label of the M150 that you shouldn't drink more than 2 or 3 bottles a day w/o consulting your physician, and we all know your physician is going to advise against it

Red Bull (lots of caffeine) is a stimulant. Alcohol is a toxin, and a downer.

LY pretty much laid it out for you sharing his experiences with similar products. Red Bull has a rumored rep for being a killer because of the included taurine - this is incorrect. The cases of deaths that had been attributed to it (incorrectly) were mostly from folks that mixed it with liquors and drank enough alcohol to kill themselves. Most people do not seem to be aware that alcohol is a toxin (poison), and a quite nasty one at that. The reason you pass out, or that you vomit is your body protecting itself.
That said, VoBKa Red Bull is a pleasant drink, but don't have more than 2-3 at a time, is my suggestion.

I cannot drink beer like I used to on account of needing to avoid weight gain, so after a couple of beers usually I switch to soda....never had a problem with the bar staff. Of course, I am not tight about buying the lassies and momasan drinks.

Not drinking alcohol at a bar is not a problem - a customer is a customer and as long as you are buying something you are welcome. The more you buy the more welcome you are of course.
Do the girls like a guy more if he does not drink? Who cares? Enjoy the compliments but don't take them as gospel pls Mr Handsom man. My two cents is that most of the girls know they would not have ended up working in a bar if their "dud" of a husband had been a moderate drinker or teetotaller instead of a boozer and a butterfly - so rather than liking you more for not drinking...well you can guess the rest.
Of course, drunks can be encouraged to spend more, tip more, buy lady drinks and whatever and when was the last time you saw someone drinking orange juice climb onto the bar, shout something innane and ring the bell? I hate to cheapen the experience for some of you but well...shock and horror...money does factor into it....and business is business.
Its an illusion, don't dig too deep or you'll only ruin it for yourself. Pay, play and enjoy.

Some BG prefer you to drink yourself stupid. They take you back to your room put you to bed. You fall asleep and they don't have to do anything. Easy baht one BG called it.
I like to mix it up, beer then water for a couple of hours then a beer or two to finish off the night.
