I have to agree 100% about the large % of guys who come to LOS and look like they are at someone funeral. If you can't have fun in LOS where can you have fun.
Talking with my regular BG's I get the impression about 10 to 15% of their customer's are sour and no fun to be with. Ý 6 days until I have that big shit eating grin.

Exactly BigDUSA.
Sex is a big part of the LOS Experiance but FUN is probably the biggest attaction.
It is LOS as long as you do not offend anyone then what you do is up to you.
I did once see a girl for about 4 days next time I visited I asked to see her and she said 'I am not sure you very crazy man' but she sucumbed to my charm in the end.
(Nothing to do with my wallet at all, honest)

I wonder if the older/uglier guys have to pay more for the girls. I'm the youngest in every place I've been to in BKK (just turned 23 on my first trip and all the girls said I was a baby, I just turned 26 now and this is going to be my third trip) and I've had instances where girls came up to me and said "guy over there try to barfine me, but I like you instead will you take me?" Man, I'd be pissed if I were the other guy!!! (this wasn't a scam either, I rejected her and she did go out with the other guy). I also noticed a lot of the heavier guys get ignored (once I walked upstairs in Patpong and 7 girls instantly surrounded me. While looking around most of the other guys were sitting by themselves, it was kinda wierd...) Although its an ego boost the attention gets annoying after a while (I know a good "problem" to have

when i first came to bangkok young and innocent of the scene, with loads of cash i had the same feeling. but after a while these girls will recognise your face and you will also get more experienced and of course a little bit older. plus constant night escapedes will untrim your body sooner or later. that is what happened to me in the last 10 years in bangkok.
i still get most of the girls i want, but have to admit that being rather well known and sort of starting to age, it does get a little bit more difficult these days, as there will be the odd 10-20% (depending on the venue) of girls who will not fall for me instantly anymore!
just wait your time will come as well!

I noticed a funny thing about attracting women after my first trip to LOS.
I discovered LOS whilst travelling around Asia in my late twenties (3 or 4 yrs ago now) and instantly fell in love with the place. I'm not quite sure why. But I think its because I just totally 'de-stressed'. I was stressed out whilst living in the Uk and didnt even know it!
It was only the absence of stress which made me realise I was stressed in the first place. Bit weird.
Its like I lost all the subconcious worries about work, money, women etc. In the LOS, I didnt have to work, compared to the local populace I was minted, and after a few months of knocking about the place I thought I was some kind of sex-god bird magnet!!
I put it down to having big eyes (despite the name) which go bluer in the sun. A GF gave me the name 'dtaa-lork' which I belive means protruding eyes, the cheeky minx.
(I'm just a typical guy in the UK - sometimes I have a GF, sometimes I dont, and I realise now that 90% of the TG who 'fancied' me in LOS had mercenary reasons - but back then I thought I must have suddenly got inexplicably georgeous!!!)
Anyway, I eventually ended up in Oz, after about 6 months in LOS, and the strange thing was, with my new found arrogance in the attraction-to women department, I seemed to be able to pull where ever I went!
It wore off after about a month, and I went back to my usual confidence levels (and corresponding lack of women), but it just goes to show, if you are happy with yourself and confident in your looks/attractiveness, the women will appear as if by magic.
Back in the LOS in one week and counting........

my experiences seems very similar to yours except I haven't yet moved to OZ(sydney), but hopefully I won't have to if I can move to LOS instead

Jeez Griffin how depressing, I might as well enjoy it while it lasts. I'm usually in BKK for only a few days before I head off toward either Pattaya or Phuket, so I can see new girls all the time (I've yet to recognize any girls from my previous trips). I'll try out the high end MP's (which I've never been to) and then down to Pattaya this coming trip (haven't been there since 2000).

I've been at this girlie scene at LOS for over a decade now & am no longer a spring chcken.
As I said in an earlier post I've NOT put on any weight since the age of twenty one & don't expect to till the day I die. Also I've retained most of my hair, for which I will be eternaly grateful to god/ Budda and/ or my parents, who gave me the requisite genes.
My own view is that girls sometimes flock to the younger men , not because they are young, but because they are more naive & green and so are better prospects for extensive milking and possibly deeper attachments . The older guys are more worldly wise & therefore tougher prospects as ATMs' . Most of these girls have been thru the cycle so many times that they are emotionally dead in this area (something like me) . They see little difference between one fairly normal looking guy and the next ( fairly normal guy) . There are exceptions ofcourse, if a guy happens to look like Tyranosorus Rex.
The younger, greener guys are better prospects for
potentional emotional attachment ( & therefore money) this accounts for their greater attraction- just my opinion.
I've tested out my theory in this way: I sat at a couple of girlie places with a distant bored look, hardly a girl approached me. I then smiled at a couple of girls & offered them drinks , soon I was inundated by the ladies , each asking for a drink. (I'm no longer young).
These ladies (rightly) consider the economic potential/ prospect, first & everything else afterwards. Good luck to them!!!
