Hey, I have a beautiful condo that I live in when I am in BKK. I do 1 soapy and 1 late night when I am in town. Forget about all the psycho analysis mombo jumbo people are going about. I have a great time when I am in BKK. I live like a King when I am in BKK, unlike some of the wretched people who live "thai" style when they run out of financial resources and refuse to leave BKK.
We all make our choices and living well IS the BEST REVENGE. I have a great time laughing at all the negative posting because I know what type of people post them.

Yes, I agree. Ignorance is bliss in most cases. I am not on a pedestal, I just do not want to play the bitch when people who badmouth me feels superior. Especially when they are so ingrained in the Thai life that they no longer have the finances to go out (at least not regularly!)
It is sad to see farang argue with a thai over 5 baht. You are in their country so you have to act accordingly. In Thai society a financially challenged farang is not accorded the highest esteem.
That being said, to each it's own. You make your decisions so you live with it. As long as you are happy, who gives a f*ck. "We are born alone, and then we die alone" the middle part is what we call LIFE"
I think I saw that in a PORN movie.

if you're really engrained, and can speak, read, write Thai, there's no reason to be going out really. Your life just goes on normally, with TGs popping in to stay a short while or a long while, and often it's up to you how long they will stay. Well, I hope that the TG that most ingrained farang go with is not the WG. I am really sick of hearing about farangs who equate TG = someone in the entertainment industry. I find it pathetic that guys marry TG who works in the industry. I mean most people would not marry a hooker in their home country and feel absolutely fine about it. Yet, in Thailand I see many guys marry prostitutes who has fu*ked thousands of guys and feel proud about it. In fact, I know of guys who change their phone number because their wife is jealous. Give me a break, if they were such hot stuff would they need to marry a prostitute in a foreign country and feel great about it? It is sad. really.

funny, this thread is fast turning from Bar Scam to Expat Scum, these poor local residents are taking a real pounding from bitpump. Don't you feel sorry for them?
Slightly OT: we see quite a few expats (some residing in Thailand for decades) spending so much time here as opposed being out there. I can understand members who live abroad and only visit Thailand once or twice or thrice a year being attracted to this forum like moths to the light, it kinda of daily Thai-fix until the next trip but the guys who actually reside here, what's the attraction when you can experience (and enjoy) day in day out what we can only discuss from afar.
