... of course, Joe Wood and MickTheKick, you are correct... it is a carnie freak show, appealing to an ignoble side of our characters... at the end of the show, the curtains are drawn, and the morbidly obese bearded women returns to her trailer where she lives, loveless and lifeless... and the crowd returns home to their loving, warm families to regale the lurid spectacle.
... looking back on it, and all the other demeaning carnie freak shows I've witnessed here, I am now not so very proud of the glittering style in which I described the parakeet show (now deleted by self).

given the lack of social safety nets of the West, there are a lot of people here doing jobs they otherwise wouldnt.....
also, if Western tourists didnt come for these shows, nobody would be doing them, so I think its debatable just exactly who is really lacking in common decency.....
