Speaking of eyesores, when are they going to demolish the Nana Hotel?
In regards to the Landmark, they are not renewing any leases to the businesses on the ground floor. (Barbers, tailors, etc.) and plan to open a food court once all the tenant's leases expire.

my dad used to frequent bkk in the 70's as a business man...... some great stories on how the place has changed.... he used to frequent the 'blue moom' massage parlor on nana way back when.... my first visit to bkk I stayed at the president hotel on suk (now the site site of the holiday inn) in 1983....... I remember walking to pratunam....... there was a huge outdoor food market there at the time.... and to jj market.....

Big Mango is gone because the landlord wanted to raise the rent more than the owners were willing to pay. The space is still empty last time I looked.
Nana Plaza will be around for at least 5 more years IMO, but one never knows.
Even if it is sold and converted to a hotel, the trade will just move elsewhere. MPs and stripbars exist in nearly every major city in the world, so they will not leave BKK.
Gogo bars are not a prerequsite for nooky. Just sexy willing ladies.

Damn..never did try their burger. I would be a rather pissed off manager if I had opened the bar & 2 years later the landlord tries hiking the lease...the joys of business
Any other bars in Nana that have Mango’s ‘chill’ factor? i.e. a relaxed place, & a nice break from the hectic gogo pace, where the girls wait for you to indicate interest rather than mauling the customer
