What does this have to do with the topic? I care about what is going on with closing times as I have a visit coming up and have been caught up in the no alcohol weekends. I want to get info on the topic. I don't really care about thread hijacking by DD or DL. The bullshit just goes on and on. These guys just have to be right regardless of logic so it never ends. It's making the whole damned forum irrelevant.

I guess I committed the cardinal mistake of staying on topic, speculating on both the cause behind the crackdown (political egos) and the possible outcome (it'll all be over within a few months), and being relatively correct about it (which invariably ends up being the cause for folks like EPC or Singlolo to jump in an hijacking threads. Mel's another threadf*** culprit, just in every other thread.
Again, who's counting?
As for the bigger dick? Why, that would be EPC...

Back on topic (though I'm sure neither EPC nor his footsoldiers will allow it to remain that way for long) - as I stated, and seems to be the common consensus, the current crackdown won't last. Despite relevant posts most likely getting re-appointed and re-positioned, I'm guessing that it will take until the end of the month for the bar situation to normalize.
Unless you hang out outside the Lumpini jurisdiction....
Still, I wasn't so much referring to the draconian closing times within the Lumpini police jurisdiction (and they may resolve itself sooner), but rather the whole of the 'must close by 2:00am' situation, that should, like all things in Thailand, start to get more relaxed over the next 1-2 months.
Just my $0.02 (which at the current rates might as well be 2 satang, offshore or not.)

The whole point is you don't know a thing about the topic. When you are using 'Speculating' & 'Possible' & 'Should' & 'Guessing' then I couldn't care less but when you are trying to act like you know It is ridiculous.
I have no interest in debating with you which one of us knows more on the subject. Waste of time. But if you only want to know if I am qualified to talk about it then yes I am.
For those who expect an answer as to when the current situation will end, well you won't get the info on this forum. But if someone wants to know what is open & until what time on any given day in Bangkok there is no issue but don't try to get your info from DaffyDuck.
