I specially went there on saturday night and at about 11.45pm to boost the customer tally.... the place was totally dead.. so dead I walked back before I walked in.
But I hope to read some good reports. and will be looking forward to contributing to the ''Great Cause'' they are serving..

It's a little known secret that a lot of the freelancers do the same rounds.... Beer Garden -> Thermae -> Nana Disco.
So it really doesn't matter how many new freelancer places will be opened.. you'll see the same faces....
I would even say that the majority of freelancers avoid places where they HAVE to buy a drink...
I guess that only the 'higher paid' girls visit Gulliver's and the like...

Dropped by last night, and I think the reincarnated Mango will be a winner if we give them a chance to get open properly before everyone starts telling them what's wrong with the new place. They're only running at about quarter speed now, but they wanted to at least get the front door open to give their old regulars a place to hang out. The kitchen is ready but not operating (waiting for permits) and some of the furniture hasn't arrived, although three pool tables, three free internet connected computers, and wifi throughout are all available now. What I really liked is that they have a great outdoor deck off he second floor. Pleasant and peaceful spot to hang out and have a conversation. Close to the action, but not too close. All in all, this is going to be a good spot.

I am arriving on 4th July
If you need a drinking buddy Asia old Hand I will be using the big mango as a regular afternoon haunt at least.. My apartment is on soi 6 so just around the corner.
Did promise the guys who own it that I would check it out and I do owe N (one of the owners) a drink for sorting some stuff out for me..
I like the deck idea, That was a comment I have had back by a couple of mates who have already looked in and said that they would have prefered a more open front to sit and watch the world go bye...
Trouble is a lot of guys would have also said that they did not like the open front etc etc..
As you said it needs a chance to establish its self and if the food is good and reasonable then I can see things taking off..
I actually used to Chil out in the Tavern around the corner on a afternoon. so One mans loss is another guys gain.
