When I pay a P4P women in Philly, I handle it the same way Thai guys do, ST and then I continue what I'm doing.
When I come to LOS, I'm looking for the GFE and yes I know it's for the most part an illusion but that's what I'm looking for when I'm on vacation.
I take the girls out for dinner, movie, etc because I ENJOY IT and I get a better GFE. Plus it's so damn cheap to go out less then 1K. Why not.

Thai's generaly do not go to agogo's because to them p4p is all about going to a lady house do a ST and go back to their regular day/night routine. They don't take prostitutes to dinner then a movie or shopping or disco etc etc like the 'stupid farang'.
I agree with you Bestmate and Popsecret !
ST or LT (up to 6am morning) is for BG, daytime is for office girls.
By the way, there are many gogo-bar for Thai at Saphan Kwai area (near the week-end market).

How many office girls do you think I can meet, take to the movies, go sight seeing, go to discos, and have sex with in my one week vacation in Bangkok? Aren't they working in the offices while I am on holiday?
The fact is that if a guy comes to Thailand by himself and needs a companion (or as I like to call them, a tour guide), bar girls and go-go girls are the easy choice. There is no time to be romancing an office girl.

You raise an excellent point, Ningning. In the New York metro area, there are dozens, maybe hundreds, of bars where I would be denied service - and I am about as White, Anglo-Saxon and Protestant as it's possible to be. The reason? Mostly because "standard looking" WASP guys aren't the desired customer base at these bars, but sometimes because the bar owner believes that there would inevitably be trouble, i.e., a physical clash between me and one or more of the other guests. By barring me what does he lose? Only the profit on one or two beers. But if I stay, quite a few of his regular customers may flee the bar (out-of-place WASPs are often thought to be undercover cops, parole or immigration officers, bounty hunters, health inspectors, even child services checking on unsuitable parents). Or someone will start a fight with me and that could result in huge trouble for the bar owner.
"Discrimination" of that kind has never bothered me. They don't want me there - hey, then I don't want to be there. Denying an individual access on the basis of race or ethnicity to essential public services or even private-sphere services such as hotels, restaurants, department stores, etc. is very wrong. However, bars and P4P establishments fall into a very different category and "discrimination" cuts both ways. It's just a matter of chance who happens to be in the minority at a given moment.

Well said, EP. I have no problem at all with bars that drop the curtain shut when I approach just because my skin colour doesn't "belong." In my opinion, the bar operators take great risks in running P4P joints that are not considered "mainstream," so ordinary morals of colour coding need not be applied. Personally I appreciate it if the minder tells me up front that I am not welcome rather than admit me in, make me pay for a drink, and invest my time, and have nobody to "attend" to me. Barring me at the entrance enables me to utlilise my time and money more productively.

Actually, I haven't had any problem getting into Baccara, It was even the first Soi Cowboy bar I even went to during my first trip to Thailand a few years ago back in 2002. Great bar, very nice ladies there, very friendly, they had no problems with me being black.
But recently this year, I poked my head in the place last July ( had no problems getting in ), and it was totaly full of Japanese guys, so I decided to go elsewere...
