Dropped into AW for the first time in yonks last night.
Completely packed, tho a Monday - took what looked like the last seat in the place, a barstool at the end of the runway. Constant jostling from heavy traffic behind.
Got hit on by a very desirable GG who wriggled about engagingly in my lap. Quite nice, but bloody uncomfortable without any kind of backrest. Heavy pressure to pay bar from both her and the mamasan, without - imho - anything approaching an adequate build-up. Declined on 'expensive & probably useless ST operator' grounds.
I really do not understand the appeal of this place. Most of the girls are very pretty indeed, no doubt about it, but you can find as good as in many other NEP bars, and enjoy them in a far more relaxed and comfortable setting. My waitress was very sweet and very cute - I will give AW that. If the ambience had been less like the London tube in the rush-hour, I'd certainly have invested some time in chatting her up.

that's exactly the appeal, many guys like.
lots of commotion, shows, nagging, hassling and then some more.
I like it, being it ringside, at the bar or from the comfort of the balcony seats.
always something for the eye, being it a show on stage, a first timer with eyes like saucers, a cute waitress or a horny puying farang, the regular dancers, mon.

Well to each their own, of course. I freely admit that empty bars with zero atmosphere hold very little appeal either, but imho you can have too much of a good thing.
I'd probably have been much happier with a balcony seat - loathe being ringside in a GG at the best of times. Getting repeatedly shoved from behind as well just makes things intolerable.
The shows? To my mind, even the best of them really don't bear much repetition. Something to show a new arrival in town, maybe.
Meantime, there has to be a way to get that scrumptious little waitress to shift to a bar more to my liking...

stepped into aw last night. it was half empty. same shows. some new talent. mon is getting thinner and thinner. the "model" doesn't look that special, but was in high demand.
two new girls I definitely liked very much. they had the ex-look.
