If she's under 18 but you have the last Will and Testament of the parents stating that they give full permission for their daughter to have full carnal knowledge of you, even with the Royal seal, the law is the law and the BIB will have you for breakfast if they want to bother.
Likewise, even though you may have noticed a thing or two out of the corner of your eye here in Thailand, if a young girl over 18, even in her 20's or 30's is with a geriatric specimen of a farang ( meaning old enough to be her father or above in age ), you may not have heard, but prostitution is illegal in this country.
There are no exceptions.
If the BIB wish to, or you have been awkward with them or crossed them in any way, they will find or manufacture proof of payments to her and they will go after you.
Just because these transactions go on every day ( and, I am told, every night ) under the cops very noses, and they choose to decide to turn a blind eye to the oceanic wave of contractual sex, don't think for one minute that if they choose to, they wouldn't pursue someone with the full force of the law.
What people have to remember is that here in Thailand a piece of paper, whatever it says, in the end is just a piece of paper and you might as well wipe your arse with it because in some circumstances, it will be utterly worthless.

Look guys, just be as safe as you can be.
Go for the 26 to 34 year olds or if 23 year olds, insist on a look at the ID.
18 to 22 year olds are too risky unless you are very low-profile.
And once you are being shafted in a Thai jail, it's rather difficult to get out of it, I hear.
Yes, I am being alarmist.
A lot of guys go with 18 to 23 year old with no trouble at all [... except that some straight off the bus can prove to be starfish - the 18 to 23 year olds, I mean, not the guys, of course (?) ].

Agree with Mr Wood above. Starfish potential of that age bracket is increased proportionately to the median longevity of humans. I prefer good performance and handling, so a little older is often preferable to an image of a pretty face, which will soon be distorted in the fever of sex anyway. Sure are cute sometimes though, so just better be safe and wise; the laws, as pointed out, are enforced at the policeman's discretion.

I am going to slightly disagree with the sentiment in this thread. If I as a punter go into Soi Cowboy and go home with an BG that works there, It is understood that she is of legal age. If I am in my usual druken state, I am not going to ask to see her id. Asking for her id, also irritates these girls.
I think if pick one of the street at 7 eleven for a food stand, then you might want to do that. Some of you older folk 55 and over might have a hard time telling the difference between over 20 and under 18.
Go to RCA and you will see plenty of "normal" girls under 20. Not that they will be interested in Old western guys.

First trip to Barcara this week - and wow - great atmosphere. Electrifying. Was attracted to the 2nd storey 'school girls in uniform' - and I was told most if not all are just slightly above 17 ? Some are real green - judging from the way they dance. But the interesting part was one group dance top naked - and mind - some of them are just gorgeous. Many had tattoos all over their body....#33 is like a princess - real cute. I went over to Tilac and Dollhouse - nothing comparable in my opinion.
