The owner did the combining-two-bars trick at Spanky's in NEP a while back.
For a while, only the right-hand side was open (former Hog's Breath Saloon) while the left-hand side was being refurbished.
It then closed again while they finished the refurbs, and a completely new double-size bar opened.
This temporary half-size bar had NOTHING in common with the double-sized bar.
The new bar still sucked, but only for the same reasons all his other bars suck (he apparently thinks that laser lights and tacky crystal ornaments are more important than cute girls).
So I'd reserve judgement on the new layout, since it may well change completely once work's finished. I bet it still sucks though. Expect a B700 barfine, too (B800 before 8pm). This is currently the case in his other bars on Cowboy (Midnite, Deja Vu, Our Place).

Gave it another try last trip.. No change still the same.
How do these guys expect to attract punters????
It is often said if you have never been in the business don't try to run one..
I am sure even though I have never owned a bar that I could make significant changes that would at least assist in attricting customers into the bar..
Such as not having to wait 10 mins for your drink to arrive..
Such as having attractive girls
However a good attitude iby the girl is an important part of this...
(I know some bars where I have commented on the large fat girl and asked why is she allowed in the bar, never mind naked on the stage only to be told she earns more than the rest, because of her attitude).
They are in competition with other bars so they have to be more welcoming and/or offer something the other bars don't..
I have my own likes and dislikes with bars.. for me I hate bars that have male servers or guys hanging outside the bar..
But service and friendliness are the main attractions, of course price helps.

took one of the "hello" girls out from there on my last trip
nice face, big tits and good attitude. but made the mistake of checking only that, after we got back to the hotel and she showered it became apparent that she had a kid (major stretch marks) and was in a hurry...tried to make the best of the situation and f*ct her hard for the 2 hours she spent with me b4 her cell went off serveral times (her mom/dad calling for her) she needed to get her kid from sitter.
oh well live and learn...
the FORCE was clouded (the DARKSIDE made it hard to see the truth!) and the fact I was horny, she was cute!

However I did remember the time spent with your Tilaks kid sister.. Who I must admit did save my life crossing Asok Lol.

Has anyone else posted that the new deal at Spice Girls (the ladies wearing the cute red and black outfits) are not available for take out?
At 200 baht a drink for these girls, even if they are pretty good looking, it is a major rip off.
I hope customers notice this and vote with their feet. But a recent visit on a Friday night past the place was, unfortunately packed.
I hope this is not a new trend for Cowboy.

The dancing stage is back in Deja Vu.
Midnight had a few VERY cute girls las week. Surprised me as dogs have been here for years!
Spice Girls bar, in the past, has been known to take actions to strongly discourage long-time.
