Hey all,
Has anyone else been to the new Rooftop garden bar over foodland?
I was there last night and this place is setup nice, they got the Big projection screens and about 4 Plasma Tv's.
I asked the management about the place and was informed that they will show ALL the World cup matches and in english commentary Live, even the late ones.
I was there till the later part of the night (about 4 am ) and the place was still busy, it seems the girls new about the place already, there was many that I see at other rooftop bars there, I think this will be a good place to relax and enjoy some sports on the tv's and some drinks
The prices are normal and its a good location. 2nd floor above foodland.
And they sell Beer Lao

I saw the Brazil Australia game there last night, thanks to this topic. Seems they've put up a wall in the rooftop carpark and run the bar down the side so it's actually quite large.
Not many people there (maybe only 30) but l thought it was a good place to see the game. Not having a lot of people there meant it was possible to hear the English commentary loud and clear. Drink prices were reasonable. Same goes for the food so all in a good place to watch the World Cup, especially if like me you're not keen on large noisy crowds that make it a struggle to see or hear what's going on.
I was surprised at how many other bars only had the Thai commentary. I thought a few more would have invested in a satellite or cable connection to get the South African feed seeing how they're not having both the English and Thai audio like they usually do for Thai tv.
Damm, just noticed the Beer Lao reference. Have to remember next time, been a while since l've had one, have to see if it still tastes as good as l remember.
