I am from India and I have posted my experiences on the subject on a couple of threads here. Check out my posts in "Mona Lisa" under Soapy Massage. I don't remember the other thread under which I have posted but the postings in "Mona Lisa" pretty much sum it up.
The thing is not to get upset or uptight about it. If any bar doesn't like the colour of someone's money based on his skin colour, it is their loss. There are enough birds sitting on the wire for you to pick from.

I agree with you 100%. I need to ask this question to Marc in Eden as well. If he is getting any Indian Customer and being an asian city , how Indians are getting along in his club. I have seen in many parts in USA, many Indians are filthy rich and have much more spending capacity inspite of having poverty in their own country.
I like to know more information from any of my Indian friends.Thanks,

I do agree with you Guys! I have experienced it many times. Having lived here in bangkok for almost 7 years. I have always felt be neglected due to skin color. Can anybody recommend a place where we Asians (Indians) are respectfully accepted/treated?

Let me ask you a pointed question. Are you dark skinned? I am Indian too but I am what we call light wheatish colour as I am from Kutch.
I have experienced a problem only once in a bar in NEP and once when trying to enter Long Gun in Soi Cowboy. (When I went there a couple of months later with BK, toto, OEJ, there was no problem. Maybe it was the august company I was in  )
On thinking back, I think I was with a dark skinned friend in shorts and polo shirt both the times I was refused entry and had wondered at the time if the reason could have been his skin colour or the attire or maybe the combination. Your post seems to indicate that it was likely the skin colour and if that is the case it is indeed sad.
I hope some of our darker skinned brothers can answer your question.

I am an east indian living in Canada, my business takes me to BKK 3-4 times a year. From what I have experienced, the thai chicks tend to think of us desis as being on the cheap side. After I tell them I'm Canadian, they soften their views alittle. Flash some cash, and leave the curry clothes at home, and you should be fine.

Actually, I see more Indians and Sikhs in massage parlours (Ratchada-Phetburi-Rama IX areas) than I see westerners. Indians have been a part of Thai culture for a long time. I wouldn't say the cultures are joined at the hip (as Thai and Chinese is), but you'll find a group of girls in just about every establishment that doesn't mind taking Indian/Falang/Black/etc. action.
Good advice above was... "don't be uptight about it," their loss.

I am an Indian. I have had no bad exp. or rejection because of that in good ol BKK. Freelancers have been good to me and so were the MGs
